Description

Gate Street Barn is built in the traditional style using wood from oak trees lost on the farm in the 1987 hurricane. Gate Street Barn boasts beautiful landscaped gardens and views of our hobby herd of English Longhorn cattle. There is ample all-weather parking. In February 2018 Gate Street Barn underwent extensive refurbishment and now features a beautiful Orangery linking the main barn with the bar area in The Pheasantry. The Atrium was also added on the other side of The Barn to accommodate up to 150 sit down guests. Both these new extensions provide increased light and capacity no matter the weather. Whatever the occasion, Gate Street Barn is the perfect venue. Weddings, Conferences and Seminars, Charity Events, Wakes, Cookery Demonstrations, Corporate Events or Christmas Parties can all be celebrated in a unique, tranquil setting creating magical memories. **Announcement** We are pleased to announce we are now offering Woodland Weddings! We are able to offer a unique personal service to all our couples from the moment they first look around to the Full English Breakfast the day after the wedding! To The Gate Street Team We wanted to send a formal thanks to you all for everything you did for us both in the run up and on the day itself! We were very wary that our format on the day was quite different to the norm, but although were pretty biased, we think it worked incredibly! It was of course also down to an amazing combo or yourselves, Gill Pike, Pesto and Chris Haslam each of whom really went above and beyond for us! It was truly the very best day of our lives and the photos we have to help us to re-live it on a pretty frequent basis. A huge thank you from both of us for the most amazing day on Saturday. From our first visit to the barn with Lisa, we fell in love and knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Lisa made us feel comfortable and was super relaxed which is what we were looking for from our day. From that first meeting until last Saturday you have all been amazing. My stupid questions being answered efficiently and the clear timelines made it really easy and the day worked like clock work. Thanks to Daniel for being our right hand man on the day and for ensuring everything worked perfectly – safe to say I was able to step off from my control freak perch so thank you very much! Nothing was too much bother for you and for that we are extremely grateful. A dream team, incredible venue and the best day of our lives. Thank you so much. Neil and I first visited Gate Street Barn in November 2016; it was one of three venues that we had contacted but the quickest to answer and once we had seen it, we knew that we didn’t want to look anywhere else. The buildings are beautiful, set in stunning grounds and you have exclusive hire for the day...oh and no corkage!! Planning the day came remarkably simply. We decided to embrace the autumnal foliage that we could see all around Gate Street and settled on this as our theme, with burgundy and berry tones to bring a pop of colour. The florist (Hannah Martin), Caterer (Tandem Catering), photographer (Rob at Shootinghip) were all recommended suppliers that we met at the Gate Street open day – they truly made our day magical. I would recommend Gate Street Barn to anyone looking to have a magical day that runs like clockwork. Thank you to everyone involved for your warmth, care and organisation. We especially want to thank Lucy for her help during the wedding morning and throughout the day - she was invaluable!
