If you are looking for a truly beautiful house in which to get married, but also to spend the best weekend of your life with family and friends, look no further than Plas Dinam. Set at the foot of glorious Welsh hills with spectacular views, Plas Dinam has a warm and welcoming feel whilst being luxurious and grand enough to create that big wow factor. It is set in 12 acres of fabulous gardens, lawns and woodland walks. It will be all exclusively yours and with 15 bedrooms sleeping up to 32, you can share it with family and friends. The amazing Old Stables is a truly unique building with a glass roof. Plas Dinam is a much loved family home and has been for well over a century. It is a mansion, with big rooms and lots of space, but most importantly it has been lived in and cared for, so it feels full of warmth and comfort. We do warn you that you may well fall in love with it too and not want to leave! This is what makes Plas Dinam unique: 1. Beautiful, unusual architectural, Grade II mansion with rich history in amazing, countryside setting of 13 acres with views of mountains and river valley. 2. Choice of licensed ceremony rooms, all stunning, light and elegant, for up to 100, or outdoor option for more. Drinks and canapes in the house or gardens with wildflower meadow. 3. Choice of reception in the house, great dining hall and dancing room for up to 60, or truly unique Old Stables evening reception venue with glass roof, tiled stables and fabulous lighting for up to 180. 4. With 15 big bedrooms sleeping up to 32 guests can stay and make a weekend of it, self catering in the amazing kitchen, use pizza oven, bbq, billiard room, table tennis room, fire pit, treasure hunt, family museum, playroom, walks over the hill, tennis court, garden games, etc. 5. Here at Plas Dinam we love weddings! We only have about a dozen weddings a year at Plas Dinam so we can concentrate on yours and make it just as you wish. Plas Dinam was my family home, so I know it well! We love seeing it full of love and happiness and buzzing with life. We have recenlty renovated the Old Stables, and this is the icing on the cake! It's a magical place to party after a ceremony in the house and drinks in the garden.

The Perfect WeddingThe Perfect Wedding
Plas Dinam is the perfect wedding venue if you are looking to have a wedding that is rustic, romantic and totally in your hands. We went to view the venue in June 2018 and Julie was kind enough to show us around the house and grounds. We knew then and there that this was the perfect venue as it was near enough to my family home and also had plenty of room for the groom's Irish family to stay in the house! We booked for a mid-week wedding and for 3 nights as this gave everyone plenty of time to recover before travelling back to Ireland. Eldrydd and Julie were excellent in the months leading up to the wedding, answering all my questions and providing all the information we required. We arrived at the venue the day before and started decorating. The house honestly requires little if no decoration as it is beautiful both inside and out so we set to work decorating the stables. The house was the perfect size that it fit all our Irish family and friends and yet you didn't feel cramped. On the day of the wedding we had originally hoped for an outdoor ceremony but the weather disagreed, so we opted for the beautiful Drawing Room. This is the perfect venue for a small, intimate ceremony, as ours was, and we were delighted with it! Julie was also wonderful as out wedding co-ordinator, making sure everyone was okay and everything was going to plan. The house and grounds provided the perfect venue for wedding photos and the stables are the most beautiful wedding reception venue you could imagine. We had our wedding on 17th August 2019 at Plas Dinam and it was just the best weekend. We hired the house out from Friday to Monday and it was so nice having the extra time with our guests, The Friday night we were able to set up the stables ready for our reception and then use the built in pizza oven which was a really fun way of catering for our guests. On the Saturday, wedding day itself, we got married under the front door arch which was so pretty and then held drinks and canapes on the back lawn followed by the reception in the stables. The space was so good for our guests and the open dancefloor, bar and tables were great for creating a party atmosphere. On the Sunday we made the most of the house and grounds which was the perfect space to relax. Would definitely recommend Plas Dinam to others who want a relaxed venue they can make their own. We can’t recommend Plas Dinam highly enough as THE venue for your wedding or holiday…we combined both and booked this mid-Wales gem for a week so that our family could stay on after our wedding and enjoy a holiday together. Plas Dinam manages to balance the grandeur of a country house hotel with a home-from-home feel so you can relax and be comfortable. It is set in beautiful grounds amongst stunning countryside and even the early June rain couldn’t dampen our day or the week that followed and the sun did appear just at the right moment for wedding photos outside and walking down to the Old Stables for the wedding breakfast. We had our ceremony in the drawing room which is a lovely light room looking out over the countryside and perfect for an intimate wedding for up to about 60 guests; it is set up with pretty chairs either side so the wedding party can walk down the aisle. We are locals so I was happy to find and organise our own wedding services, like hair, make-up, DJ etc but Eldrydd has a very helpful list of trusted suppliers if you need suggestions and we were really happy with our choice of Fingers & Forks from her list for all our food for the day. Eldrydd can provide waiting and bar staff and is very relaxed about whether you provide drinks or they do; there is no corkage fee which is good to know. In the end we just chose wines from their list and were very happy with the quality and value for money and it just meant one less thing for us to have to worry about leading up to the big day. Eldrydd and Tyson are the prefect hosts – keeping in the background but being on hand if needed and we would certainly recommend hiring Julie to coordinate the actual day of the wedding so you can just enjoy the day, take it all in and know everything will run smoothly. The staff are friendly and helpful and can’t do enough for you to make your day special; we even had some extra housekeeping mid-week, which Eldrydd was very happy to arrange, to make room for my daughter’s friends to visit for two nights to celebrate her 21st birthday. Plas Dinam is a fascinating house (do take a look in the museum and read about its history) with large ground floor rooms full of character, beautiful spacious bedrooms and plenty of well-fitted bathrooms to cater for all guests. The sheer number of rooms and layout means that it might take you a day or two to get your bearings! The kitchen is extremely well-equipped with an abundance of quality crockery and cutlery and plenty of storage space as well as multiple fridges, cooking appliances and two dishwashers which were in constant use! If you’re thinking of making use of the pizza oven (thoroughly recommended) do take up Tyson’s offer of instruction to achieve pizzas that could have easily come out of a pizzeria from the back streets of Naples they were that good (dough from Andy’s Breads in Llanidloes). Although we didn’t get to do as many outdoor activities as we’d hoped due to the weather there is still plenty to occupy you inside with the children’s games rooms, table tennis and snooker rooms and we did manage to get in some tennis. We also managed to fit in a BBQ on the terrace on our last evening in between the showers. We had a wonderful week, none of us wanted to leave, and I would encourage anyone to do what we did, if you can, and book extra days after your wedding so that you can fully enjoy all that Plas Dinam has to offer. Plas Dinam is a hidden gem in mid wales, and it really does not disappoint! If you‘re keen on a wedding / event that doesn’t feel cliche, or similar to other events you may have been to, then I urge you to check out Plas Dinam. From the minute we landed and had our first visit with Jane we knew we had found the right place to get married - no sales pitch, just a friendly chat and the grand tour of the house: what I can only describe as utterly mind blowing! Once you’re past the beauty of the inside, then you need to take a breath before you see the grounds outside - views for days! Eldrydd and Tyson are legends - they were just so helpful, but really leave you up to your own devices (unless you need them for anything). Their attitude as hosts is ideal, very relaxed but with incredible attention to detail, and you’ll notice this in every corner of the house and grounds. From the welcome gift when we arrived, the beautiful flowers in the garden, the amazing lighting in the stables, to the thoughtful products placed in the rooms. I still can’t decide what I loved the most - the rooms, the grounds or the amazing stables! Our friends and family are still talking about what a fantastic and original venue it is a month later - there‘s so much room for creating a wedding or event that is truly unique. The atmosphere in the stables is electric, and it really isn’t like other venues we‘d seen. It was so special but we couldn’t have done it without Eldrydd and Tyson’s insight around suppliers, timings and other logistics (wild garlic are the bomb, by the way!) and their friendliness to all out of our guests. You really can’t get bored at Plas Dinam, there are incredible walks, games rooms, a really sociable kitchen area for cooking and chatting, great area for biking, and the nearby pubs and towns are very sweet too. We genuinely can not recommend Plas Dinam enough, we’ll be talking about our weekend for years to come. Thank you very much Eldrydd, Tyson and team for a perfect weekend. I was lucky enough to grow up in the beautiful village of Llandinam. I'd been following Plas Dinam on social media for a few years and had already been eyeing it up as a potential wedding venue. Pretty much as soon as we got we got engaged we booked a appointment to view the house and stables and instantly fell in love with it. The main house is amazing, its still got so much of the original charm and character while still being modern. We loved the rusticness of the stables and it was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. It was just the perfect venue for the perfect weekend.I was lucky enough to grow up in the beautiful village of Llandinam. The best wedding venue....EVERThe best wedding venue....EVER
We were lucky enough to find Plas Dinam on a search for possible wedding venues last year and we are so pleased that we found it. We booked the house for the whole weekend and filled all of the rooms with our closet friends and family for the most magical wedding ever! The old stables, which we decorated for our wedding reception were beautiful, the grounds and gardens were superbly kept and hosts were fantastic in the run up and during the weekend! We could not recommend a better place to get married or spend a long weekend with friends and family!We were lucky enough to find Plas Dinam on a search for possible wedding venues last year and we are so pleased that we found it. We booked the house for the whole weekend and filled all of the rooms with our closet friends and family for the most magical wedding ever! The old stables, which we decorated for our wedding reception were beautiful, the grounds and gardens were superbly kept and hosts were fantastic in the run up and during the weekend! Best weekend of our livesBest weekend of our lives
We held our wedding here and Plas Dinam couldn't have been more perfect. We stayed alongside our family and friends for 4 nights, it was totally brilliant to be able to have our most important guests stay with us for a long weekend. The house itself is beautiful, every space is just so well put together. It had everything we needed and everybody was able to do their own thing but come together for group activities. The bedrooms were amazing and nobody had to feel like they were getting stuck with a second rate room! And the beds were fantastically comfy! We also had lots of compliments on the amazing bathrooms. The grounds and gardens were fabulous, and it definitely helped that we had four days of perfect sunny weather. Everybody particularly enjoyed being able to make delicious pizzas in the authentic pizza oven, and we rounded the weekend off with a campfire! It was also a bonus to be able to walk to a fabulous pub for a big group dinner. The setting for a wedding was perfect, with plenty of different spaces for the different parts of the day. Games and drinks on the lawns was super fun, and the stables were beautiful and rustic and we had the best time dancing until late. One of the reasons we picked Plas Dinam was because we would have the ability to DIY many elements of the day. Having the venue for 48 hours before the wedding enabled us to set things up exactly how we wanted things. Eldyrdd, Tyson and Julie were all totally amazing and we couldn't have pulled it off without them. They were present and available at all times without being overbearing or intrusive. We held our wedding here in August. We definitely chose the right venue for us. From my initial enquiry Eldrydd was incredibly friendly and helpful. Eldrydd has very high standards and close attention to detail which is exactly what you want from someone helping you organise a wedding, however, she is completely approachable and relaxed at the same time. The house itself is huge - I don't think I managed to see it all during the four days we were there! There were enough bedrooms to comfortably fit our immediate family and all the bridal party and not once did we feel on top of each other. Eldrydd & Tyson have done a stunning job with the restoration of the place. Everything felt luxurious without being pretentious or stuffy. The ground are beautiful and the views from every window are stunning. I didn't leave the grounds for four days and was really sad to say goodbye! We were fortunate enough for the rain to hold off long enough to hold our ceremony outside (legally!) the front of the house. We had our reception in the old stables in the grounds - a really interesting space with beautiful old tiles, industrial beams and a concrete floor. Tyson was a tremendous help in the stables - he somehow managed to remain constantly present but never in the way while we were setting up. Nothing was too big an ask for him and the day after the wedding he got stuck right in with the cleaning up! We had our wedding here and the whole experience of being in the house was fantastic. We couldn't have had a better experience; Eldrydd was so helpful and attentive to all our needs in the run-in to the wedding and on the day itself. Eldrydd was able to give so much advice and was willing to help us arrange everything in advance so we were able to have a stress-free day. The house and gardens speak for themselves; the quality and finish throughout is brilliant and keeps the period detail so well. The surrounding grounds allowed us to have some amazing scenery for our photos. We loved the venue as it allowed us to have close family, friends and children to stay with us over a couple of days. Each room is spacious with it's own unique character which our guests loved. Having the opportunity of 30+ guests staying with us allowed everyone to get to know each other in advance and fostered a relaxed atmosphere. We couldn't recommend the whole Plays Dinam experience highly enough! Thanks Eldrydd and Tyson for such a memorable, wonderful wedding!We had our wedding here and the whole experience of being in the house was fantastic. We couldn't have had a better experience; Eldrydd was so helpful and attentive to all our needs in the run-in to the wedding and on the day itself. Eldrydd was able to give so much advice and was willing to help us arrange everything in advance so we were able to have a stress-free day. The house and gardens speak for themselves; the quality and finish throughout is brilliant and keeps the period detail so well. The surrounding grounds allowed us to have some amazing scenery for our photos. We loved the venue as it allowed us to have close family, friends and children to stay with us over a couple of days. Each room is spacious with it's own unique character which our guests loved. Having the opportunity of 30+ guests staying with us allowed everyone to get to know each other in advance and fostered a relaxed atmosphere. We couldn't recommend the whole Plays Dinam experience highly enough! Thanks Eldrydd and Tyson for such a memorable, wonderful wedding!

We held our wedding here in August. We definitely chose the right venue for us. From my initial enquiry Eldrydd was incredibly friendly and helpful. Eldrydd has very high standards and close attention to detail which is exactly what you want from someone helping you organise a wedding, however, she is completely approachable and relaxed at the same time. The house itself is huge - I don't think I managed to see it all during the four days we were there! There were enough bedrooms to comfortably fit our immediate family and all the bridal party and not once did we feel on top of each other. Eldrydd & Tyson have done a stunning job with the restoration of the place. Everything felt luxurious without being pretentious or stuffy. The ground are beautiful and the views from every window are stunning. I didn't leave the grounds for four days and was really sad to say goodbye! We were fortunate enough for the rain to hold off long enough to hold our ceremony outside (legally!) the front of the house. We had our reception in the old stables in the grounds - a really interesting space with beautiful old tiles, industrial beams and a concrete floor. Tyson was a tremendous help in the stables - he somehow managed to remain constantly present but never in the way while we were setting up. Nothing was too big an ask for him and the day after the wedding he got stuck right in with the cleaning up! I can't thank Eldrydd & Tyson enough for all their help and for making sure we had the best wedding day possible. Looking forward to revisiting for an anniversary!We held our wedding here in August.
