Set within a 500-acre estate, Shilstone has an outstanding reputation as one of the best wedding venues in Devon.
Fully licensed, Shilstone features a Rustic Barn, manicured gardens and grounds, Georgian Manor House, Mughal Marquee and onsite accommodation. In combination, these stunning, exclusive spaces enable Shilstone to host weddings throughout the year, from the I do’s to last orders.
For Summer, the restored Manor, with magnificent fireplaces, iconic Grand Passage and surrounding gardens, offer a unique setting for your Drinks and Canape Reception. Our very own Marquee, overlooking our Walled Garden, then hosts the Wedding Breakfast and evening party beneath twinkling fairy lights.
For Winter, our Rustic Barn, adjoining natural, light-filled Terrace Room and Botanical Atrium are perfect for an intimate Ceremony, Reception and evening party.
Available for hire with all weddings is our onsite accommodation. Modern yet informal, our self-catering barn conversions can be home to up to 36 guests.

The food was better than we could have possibly imagined and the effort that went into it was evident. The compliments haven’t stopped flowing in about how beautiful Shilstone is and how wonderfully discreet and helpful the staff were. From the first meeting to the big day they couldn’t do enough for us. We both fell in love with Shilstone within 10 minutes of arriving back in January 2018 on our first visit and we just knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our marriage. Hollie and the team leading up to the day were always on hand to answer questions and help me when I was having a moment. They also kept our secret entertainment from everyone including my husband. On the big day itself, things didn’t go to plan with my wedding car but everyone at Shilstone made sure the rest of the day ran like clockwork. Tara was there waiting for us and helped (me especially) calm down and was so reassuring. The staff were fantastic in every aspect of the day. Everyone from the second we arrived even till now still comments on the day and how beautiful the venue was. We would both highly recommend Shilstone House to anyone because for us it was everything we dreamt of. Special thanks to Sebastian, Hollie, Tara, Dave and Jo you made our day a day we will never forget. We hope we can one day return.
