The Old Vicarage is a family run business, which makes this wedding venue very different from all of the rest. We aim to make each wedding individual and we value the uniqueness, intimacy and exclusivity that our beautiful building offers. Our boutique wedding venue is set in the heart of the historic town of Southwell, Nottinghamshire. At The Old Vicarage we have found our niche; our small Vicarage is the perfect place for your intimate wedding. It’s time to plan your special day… And we believe there is no one who would love to bring your dream to life more than our dedicated wedding planners. Here at the The Old Vicarage, nestled in the heart of Southwell, we are one of the East Midlands best kept secrets. Over the years we have become experts in providing perfect weddings, delivering a highly tailored, exceptional service, with a focus on creativity and individuality. At The Old Vicarage you will be provided with; your own personalised wedding notes, dedicated wedding planners, exclusive use of the entire grounds, the bridal suite on the night of your wedding, breakfast for the newly weds and hotel guests, reception drinks, bottles of house wine for your tables, sparkling wine for your speeches, a three course wedding breakfast and a choice of evening food.

We got married here the beginning of October and I can truly say the staff and the day were faultless! The day ran so smoothly, calmly and effortlessly. The staff are truly outstanding at what they do from calming my nerves to keeping me on time with wedding prep that morning, some amazing organisation! The food was absolutely amazing too! I couldn’t imagine having our day anywhere else the decor is stunning and the bedrooms are amazing. Where to even begin on what to say about The Old Vicarage. We both knew from the moment that we first went to view The Vicarage that this was the venue for us, the location in the beautiful town of Southwell, the first impressions as we drove into the entrance, the beautifully maintained gardens and stunning architecture. As we stepped inside neither of us could stop smiling at the elegance and romanticism of the decor and we couldn’t leave without confirming our date there and then. As our special day approached, we were reassured at every step to focus on ourselves and allow The Vicarage to organise all the details and planning and they also added in some great ideas that we hadn’t even considered. Finally our big day had arrived. Chelsea, Richard and Laura were on hand from our arrival and the whole place was pristine and organised. The room for our ceremony was both intimate and romantic and as our guests arrived they were all in awe of the beauty of The Vicarage. The whole day flowed without a hitch, the food is as good as we have ever tasted and many of our guests agreed (especially those that had special requirements). The weather was fantastic which enabled us to spend most of the day in the stunning gardens. The service from all the staff was impeccable and yet they never appeared busy or rushed and all of our needs were met in every area. As for the bedrooms, both the indivuality and contemporary elegance is an understatement for The Vicarage. People always say ‘there is no such thing as a perfect wedding’ - we have to disagree, The Old Vicarage made our day perfect in every way and we would recommend anyone looking for their ideal venue to visit and have all your dreams come true. This is a beautiful setting. Really nice interior and exterior. Based in the stunning town of Southwell. It’s a really good mix of boutique with modern regarding the decor. It’s so clean...it’s like everything is brand new. This is perfect especially for an intimate family wedding. You won’t see people you don’t know eating in the bar because the venue is exclusive to yourselves. The staff are really attentive and will guide you through everything. They also make sure everything is immaculate and runs perfect for yourselves and your family. I can’t recommend this place enough. From the very first moment we stepped into the Old Vicarage we fell in love! 😍 This was the place we both knew we wanted to get married at and booked the venue on the drive out of the beautiful grounds! We couldn’t wait!! Inside the Old Vicarage is stunning and sophisticated & the staff are warm, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They made us feel welcome and we feel like we have become part of the vicarage family. They made the process of organising our wedding stress free. Laura, Chelsea & Richard - you are amazing!! We can’t thank you and all the staff enough. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives, from stopping the night before, getting ready in the morning, walking down the aisle & partying at night! And that’s all down to the staff at the Old Vicarage as well as there beautiful venue. Massive thank you to the chefs also - the food was out of this world!! And I know everyone enjoyed the wedding breakfast and evening food. Breakfast the next morning was to die for! The Old Vicarage is truly perfect inside and out & we both can’t wait to return. ❤️ It has a special place in our hearts. Oh my God ! Do I recommend the Vicarage Wedding Boutique Wedding venue ? HELL YES !! . The venue is hard to fault as are the staff ... everything was taken care of by the experienced team there ? Was SO relaxed ( well as relaxed as things can be on the most important day of your life ) ... Amazing 10/10. 5*. 👍💕Oh my God ! Do I recommend the Vicarage Wedding Boutique Wedding venue ? We got married last Saturday and we had an amazing day. The very first time we went to see what the venue was like we booked it that day! we were so in love with the place with its white walls, contemporary furniture and classy chandeliers. we had a church wedding and then went straight to the venue. It was set out how we wanted and was beautiful. The day ran so smoothly and the staff were amazing at helping out and getting everything ready. At one point I had put my bouquet down somewhere and couldnt find it but they had kindly put in a vase with water. The food was out of this world! we had the burshetta to start, chicken for main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Everyone of our guests said how beautiful the place was. We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside and everyone loved it and that gorgeous swing. If your into the modern and classy style venue this is the place! The Old Vicarage is simply incredible and totally surpassed our expectations. We were wanting a classy, intimate occasion and this venue met the criteria ten fold. The food, accommodation, service, attention to detail (the list is endless) was all outstanding and I honestly couldn’t say a bad word. Particular thanks for providing a regular supply of toast which was being demanded by the little ones throughout the day! The venue is so beautifully decorated we didn’t have a lot to add, which is a huge positive when planning a wedding, and there was no stress for us on the day as it was all handled behind the scenes and seamlessly. Richard, Laura, Chelsea et al, you really are hidden gems. If you are considering getting married here then don’t hesitate to snap it up!The Old Vicarage is simply incredible and totally surpassed our expectations. When booking in 2017 we fell in love with the amazing decor, attention to detail, personal touches and the place smells incredible! From Richard setting everything up the night before to the amazing food and seamless turn around in the evening we couldn’t not of wished for a more perfect day. We had exclusivity the night before which I’d highly recommend, all of the rooms are decorated and furnished to such an amazing standard. We just loved everything about the Old Vicarage from the moment we set foot in it for the first time and all the suppliers they recommended couldn’t of made our day any more perfect. As soon as we visited The Old Vicarage on an open day we knew that was our chosen one. We were looking for somewhere intimate and with the option of an outdoor ceremony, so it was perfect. We were also impressed by the decoration, it is a great combination of classic with a modern touch. The wedding day was absolutely perfect, the staff were really helpful and made everything run smoothly. The food was a huge success - many guests said that was the best wedding food they ever had. Another plus is having our rooms just upstairs, it does make you feel at home. The only downside is having to leave the place the next morning! We stayed here for our friends wedding and this was an awful night, incredibly uncomfortable bed, only cold water to run the bath and a very slow process to order and be served breakfast (which was partly cold and uncooked), the managers response when I raised the issue of the bed while checking out appeared to be of disbelief, when I emailed to complain days later her response was (I quote) "The style of the mattress is on the softer side, which for somebody as you mentioned that morning already has back problems may not have been your preferred style of mattress". I DO NOT have existing back problems but attempting to sleep on that for a night has left me with sciatica down my left leg! And also "If we had been informed about the water, we would have been able to look into it" - I ran a bath at 8am, to be ready for breakfast at 9am. If I pay £140 a night for a room, I expect to turn on the tap and for hot water to come out, not to have to report it so it can be 'looked into'.
