Could not have asked for anything more from start to finish, every single person was amazing to deal with made it a day we will never forget. As the dust settles on our wedding weekend, Kate and I want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the entire team at Tankardstown House for making our day so incredibly special. From the moment we stepped foot on the grounds back in July 2023, we knew Tankardstown was the place for us. The charm, the elegance, and the warmth of the venue captured our hearts instantly. What unfolded this past weekend exceeded every dream we had. The flow, the feeling, and the flawless execution of the day were beyond anything we could have hoped for. A few special shoutouts are in order: Sarah-Jane – You’ve been a rock of support to us over the past two years. Your calm presence, clear communication, and ability to make everything run so smoothly on the day itself were truly appreciated. Your interactions with our guests were warm and genuine, and your attention to the little details helped make everything feel effortless. You're brilliant at what you do – thank you so much. Gemma – We feel so lucky to have had you as our wedding coordinator. Every single detail from our wedding operations sheet (which we edited far too many times!) was noted and nailed. From day one, you’ve been an absolute pleasure to deal with – patient, kind, and professional. Thank you for everything you did to help bring our vision to life. Fran – What can we say? You are truly the best in the business. You brought not just skill and professionalism, but heart. You felt like an extension of the family on the day – sharing laughs, spreading warmth, and showing such genuine care. One moment stands out in particular: when you deliberately carved out 30 minutes for just the two of us before the meal. It was a moment of calm and reflection we didn’t know we needed, but will never forget. Your eye for detail and ability to read the room is exceptional – we were so lucky to have you with us. To every single member of staff – the chefs, wait staff, bar staff, cleaners, porters, reception team – thank you. The level of service was truly world-class. Our parents (veterans of close to 100 weddings!) and so many of our guests said it was the best service they had ever seen at a wedding. We wholeheartedly agree. You all showed up with such professionalism, warmth, and grace – we are deeply grateful. And finally, to the many others who played a part in the lead-up and on the day (special mentions to Áine and Tadhg), thank you – we see you and appreciate you all. We are so honoured to have celebrated our wedding at Tankardstown. We cannot wait to return as guests again – whether for another wedding or a peaceful weekend stay. We had our wedding at Tankardstown House in November 2024 and truly can’t say enough to even begin to cover how amazing our experience was with them. Everything about the venue was absolutely perfect—from the stunning surroundings (we were lucky enough that the team had their gorgeous Christmas decorations up!) to the flawless service. The team’s attention to detail was second to none, and it genuinely felt like they thought of everything before we even had to ask. A very special thank you to our wonderful coordinator, Sarah Mullen. Sarah was incredible from start to finish...professional, warm, and so attentive. Her calm, capable presence from our first meeting with her at the open day gave us so much confidence. She made the whole process seamless and stress-free. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us through it all and bring our ideas to life on the day. We also have to give a huge shoutout to Fran, who looked after us on the day itself. Not only did he make sure everything ran like clockwork, but he’s also an absolute gas character. He kept everyone smiling with his great sense of humour. What really blew us away was his amazing knack for remembering faces and names, it made everything feel so personal and effortless. From start to finish, everything was flawless—beautiful surroundings, outstanding food, and most importantly, the warm and attentive staff who made our day unforgettable. A huge thank you to Áine, our amazing wedding coordinator. You were an absolute dream to work with—so organised, calm, and genuinely kind. You made everything feel seamless, and we felt completely at ease knowing you had everything under control. You are amazing at what you do! We also have to mention the one and only Fran—what a gent! You brought such a lovely energy to the day and made both us and our guests smile and laugh throughout the day.The food was top class, with so many guests commenting on how delicious everything was. The kitchen team went above and beyond to cater to everyone’s dietary needs, and it didn’t go unnoticed.The accommodation was another major highlight for us. When we first viewed the venue, the luxurious and cozy rooms really stood out—and our guests agreed. So many told us it was the nicest place they’d ever stayed for a wedding. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing and would 100% choose Tankardstown every single time. As a wedding photographer, there is no venue in Ireland more picturesque to photograph in than Tankardstown. Even on a wet day, the portraits made possible by the exquisite light in the orangery is always beautiful. Tadhg, Fran, Des and the rest of the team are always so welcoming, and efficient on the day. It really is a pleasure every time I get to work in Tankardstown and always look forward to returning. As a wedding photographer, there is no venue in Ireland more picturesque to photograph in than Tankardstown. We have been supplying Tankardstown House with wedding flowers for over 10 years now and have watched them grow from a small boutique wedding venue to one of the best wedding venues in Ireland. What makes them special for us as just a supplier (and not a guest) is the way we are treated by all the staff, always friendly, happy and helpful. This is not common in most venues. If a venue treats their suppliers with this kindness, imagine how they treat their clients and guests!We have been supplying Tankardstown House with wedding flowers for over 10 years now and have watched them grow from a small boutique wedding venue to one of the best wedding venues in Ireland. Couples choose Tankardstown House for it's exclusivity, accommodating and attentive staff, exceptional food, relaxed atmosphere, and beautiful backdrops. As a photographer it comes in top for its picture perfect gardens and natural light drenched ballroom. The glass ceiling makes this venue so unique and a photographer's dream!
