From the style of building, surrounding woodland, location and staff, I recall thinking to myself, “this is the place” and never looked back since. I can’t thank the staff of Lucan Spa hotel enough, for looking after us, and meeting any requests we had with the utmost care and respect. I especially would like to thank Alison for her support, patience, and kindness throughout our whole wedding planning and day of. She was there for us every step of the way, checked on both of us separately on the morning of our wedding to make sure we were both relaxed. Without her, I don’t think we would’ve been able to have our day go as smoothly as it did. With her, you’re guaranteed a big smile and a joke when you walk through the door, and a little dance to lighten your mood. From the bottom of both of our hearts, thank you Alison, for everything you’ve done for us, for our families, and for our day - we deeply appreciate you. The communication from the very beginning was fantastic, we had enquired with other venues and felt like we were being brushed off because of our numbers but no with the Spa. Alison was so lovely to deal with, you can tell she really loves what she does. She came up with so many ideas to help us with our planning and it was great to have her there on the day to guide us and keep our guests informed and entertained :) the staff are so lovely that it really felt like we were family. They pulled out all the stops for us, I'm Christmas mad and wanted my wedding to be a Winter wonderland, well they went above and beyond, the Christmas decorations were fabulous and there was not 1 but 3 Christmas trees in wedding suite. all the staff wore Christmas hairbands/hats and they even designed our menus and table plans in a Christmas theme. We never even thought about having stuff on our cake table and Alison the wedding coordinator dressed it up with Christmas baubles and ornaments for us. It was just amazing. Tell people nothing!!!! Seriously this is your special day and everyone and their Aunty will have something to say so keep your plans close to your chest and enjoy the day you envisioned ❤️
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
From completely out of the box table plan ideas (that we create from scratch here with just the idea in mind) to little surprises the couples have planned for each other or their guests. Different centrepieces that reflect the theme and all the different favours that you could possibly imagine, it's fantastic seeing the personalities of our couples shine through in their plans
