What is your most memorable wedding?
I remember every single wedding cake, as every single wedding is perfect in its own way! My giant 34" chocolate fudge love heart cake was pretty memorable, we had to have a custom cake board made, we had to measure doorways, width of car boots, and I had to get help from two men to carry it! But we did it!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Bespoke, Elegant, Delicious, Intricate, Exquisite.
What about your business are you most proud of?
The fact that I'm completely self taught, I have had no training at all. In 2012, I was pregnant and got made redundant. In 2013 instead of going out to find a job, I decided to start making cakes for friends and family! No way did I ever image 4 years down the line I would be filling out this Bridebook profile from my own cake shop!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Do what you want, not what others expect of you. It is YOUR big day afterall.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Usually, after the initial enquiry, I give a rough price. Couples tend to book in as early as possible with £100 deposit, then finalise all the details nearer the time! We can have as many meetings/tastings as you like in my cake studio, or I can come to you.
