What is your most memorable wedding?
My sisters 😊. The whole reason we started this business was when I started planning my sisters wedding and couldn't find a supplier in the area at "reasonable" prices for venue decorations. 7 years and hundreds of weddings later we are still the most competitively priced! 😊
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Design your wedding for you and not for what you think your guests want to see! The number of couples I speak to after the big day that say they wish they'd never spent so much on things they didn't need is endless.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Biscuit favours for the guests with their names iced onto each individual one as the place name! 😊
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to meet my couples before a booking to get an idea of each individual taste. Every couple is different and every wedding should be personal to them. However, when time is short I'm happy to do everything over the phone or email. Whatever is most convenient for them.
What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?
A superhero themed wedding......all the groomsmen had superhero t-shirts underneath their shirts and ripped them open for a fantastic photo! 😀
What decoration do you think every wedding needs?
Chair covers! A number of venues no longer repair/replace their chairs as they expect the customers to cover them instead now or simply put up with them looking a bit "shabby". Chair covers will completely transform a room from looking like a banqueting event to a wedding! 😀
