A Morris dancer's wedding - the bride and groom came from different Morris dancing families and there was a 'Morris dance-off' at the reception!
warm, happy, unobtrusive, relaxed, on-point.
That my clients are happy and love their photos.
Always ask a photographer's whole wedding. It's good to see the photographer's best photos on a website, but a whole wedding can give a couple more of an idea of their own final wedding photos.
The bride and groom gave their guests a packet of seeds each as wedding favours, so that when planted, each guests would have flowers the next year as a celebration of that special day.
Usually firstly by email and, if we live close enough, a meeting to show them previous weddings. If they decide to book with me, I ask them to consider any particular photos they would like me to take for them, groups, etc, so that on the day I can take control of the photography and all they have to think about is enjoying their day.
The first kiss
At the couple's favourite ice-cream van.
An indoor space is always good, although some complementary umbrellas can make for fun, outdoor photos.
After completing my degree in Media and Design in Portsmouth, I knew I just wanted to be a press photographer. I began freelancing on the Portsmouth News and with various new agencies across the UK for 2 years, which gave me the foundation for my career. I took myself to Sheffield and received a Distinction by the National Council for the Training of Journalists in Press Photography. After that I worked on various regional newspapers, moving to Bristol in 1998 where I worked on the Bristol Post for 14 years. I set up my current photography business in 2012.
