A true Castle out of a fairy tale, Augill Castle in the Lake District will make any fantasy wedding come to life. Exclusive use of the Castle is available, and along with its 20 acre grounds, up to 45 guests will feel as though they have travelled back in time to a more romantic age. The staff at Augill Castle love weddings, and are delighted to accommodate any style from traditional to quirky and contemporary.

Exclusive use for two nights over a weekend is £13,430 (£197.50 per person) and £7,480 for one night midweek (£220 per person). This includes food, accommodation and of course the run of the castle for everyone staying. Additional guests are charged at £60 per person for the wedding breakfast. In a nutshell, we are an unstuffy venue with 17 bedrooms so sleep up to 34 adults & 10 children, we can seat up to 46 bottoms in the dining room (children can have a separate party in the Drawing Room if you need extra space) or cater for a wandering feast (buffet) for up to 70 adults.

I couldn't have found a better venue!I couldn't have found a better venue!
A perfect venue for a small gathering in a magical castle, all for you and your guests. We booked the castle from Friday afternoon until Sunday lunchtime. This included afternoon tea and the friday, and dinner. Breakfast both mornings, cooked or continetal - totally your choice. Wedding breakfast, reception dinner/tea. All of the food choices are yours to decide, but Wendy was great at helping guide us through making our decisions. The bridal suite has it's own "wing" with a huge roll top bath and a massive four-poster bed - I felt like a proper princess! - There's enough rooms at the castle to accommodate around 30 guests. All the staff made the whole weekend run smoothly and were friendly and helpful. There's a self-serve bar at one end of the castle where you write what you have in a book and it gets added to your bill, which meant no-one needs to carry cash. there's even a little cinema, with proper cinema seats. There is also perfect outdoor space for more amazing photos too. My husband and a number of guests even went back the following year for our first anniversary. Flawless!Flawless!
After coming back down to earth a little following a fabulous weekend, Taryn and I just want to confirm again what a wonderful time we had. The whole wedding couldn’t have gone any better, from start to finish everything was flawless and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Lucy, Faye and everyone else who’s names we didn’t get couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful, and it made for what the majority of our friends and family are now saying is the best wedding they’ve ever been to! Certainly the best Taryn and I have ever been to, and we say that taking out the bias of it being our own! We had some crying flower girls at the end who didn’t want to leave and wanted to live in the castle foreverAfter coming back down to earth a little following a fabulous weekend, Taryn and I just want to confirm again what a wonderful time we had.
