Description

Barnsley House is an intimate wedding location for up to 100 guests. One of the most important elements of any wedding is the capturing of memories through photography, and the historic Barnsley House ornamental gardens designed by Rosemary Verey offer a variety of perfect backdrops. The main house, with 18 luxurious bedrooms (available for exclusive hire), has been designed to exceptional standards with a blend of contemporary and traditional features. If we were put on the spot and asked to provide one word to describe the hotel, spa and gardens, we think it would probably be ‘charming’. If we were allowed a few more words, we might say that it’s the most charming, perfectly equipped and complete Cotswold location for small and intimate weddings, celebrations and events. We’re flexible in our approach and will work with you on the finer detail, either directly, through your own Wedding Planner or with our Events Manager – every small detail will be considered, agreed and perfectly delivered on the day.

From the first day I enquired about organising our wedding at Barnsley Rachel Nelson the events manager was outstanding. She was professional yet so friendly every meeting felt like catching up with a friend. Here knowledge about wedding organisation is first class and always made sure the smallest of details were organised which made the whole process so relaxed. She would really to message, phone calls and emails so efficiently and supplied more then just the venue. Rachel Nelson at Barnsley House is the best person to have looking after weddings. She totally gets what you want and there was no task to big or small. Our wedding day was incredible and went so smoothly. Everything just seemed to be done without us even seeing anything and at all times staff were on hand and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Rachel suggested the best places in the hotel and in the grounds for different parts of the wedding which worked amazingly for what we needed.Rachel Nelson at Barnsley House is the best person to have looking after weddings. Everything just seemed to be done without us even seeing anything and at all times staff were on hand and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Rachel was a huge and invaluable part of our big day. In the weeks and months leading up to the big day she quietly and unintrusively gathered all the details needed from us to make our day go smoothly and was always there to answer all our questions quickly. On the big day itself she was an absolute godsend and was honestly a huge part of making our day so special and perfect. Also worth noting is how she was so accommodating with all our special requests, making the day our own.Rachel was a huge and invaluable part of our big day. In the weeks and months leading up to the big day she quietly and unintrusively gathered all the details needed from us to make our day go smoothly and was always there to answer all our questions quickly. On the big day itself she was an absolute godsend and was honestly a huge part of making our day so special and perfect. Rachel was absolutely amazing from the beginning to the end of the wedding planning process and event. She was scarily organised, calm and composed. What I really loved about her was her ability to manage expectations as well as provide recommendations for things she thought would fit with our aspirations for the day. The fact Rachel was actually there on the day was a huge bonus as she knew exactly what we wanted and delivered on her promise.Rachel was absolutely amazing from the beginning to the end of the wedding planning process and event. We simply cannot praise Rachel and all of the staff at Barnsley House enough - they were incredible from start to finish and we could not have wished for a more wonderful team to have created our dream day. Rachel is friendly, attentive, knowledgable, efficient and so calm! No request was too much and nothing ever flusters her - which really was fantastic as it rubbed off on us! Barnsley House is of course a stunningly beautiful venue - that goes without saying. However, what really made our day so special was the incredible help and support that Rachel and the team provided. Everything just ran so seamlessly and it really allowed us to just concentrate on enjoying our day and soaking in the atmosphere. All of our guests also commented on how accommodating the staff were to their every need - we enjoyed the day even more knowing that everyone was so happy!Barnsley House is of course a stunningly beautiful venue - that goes without saying. We had a vision for a tiny outdoor ceremony with only 16 guests, but still in a beautiful place. After being turned down by tens and tens of venues due to our small party size, I couldn't believe it when Rachel emailed me to confirm she would love to coordinate our wedding. My husband and our families were made to feel so special, as if we had booked the entire venue (and we know couples often do!) - I truly had the most magical day and none of it would have been possible without Rachel.We had a vision for a tiny outdoor ceremony with only 16 guests, but still in a beautiful place. The most unique...The most unique...
The most unique and beautiful venue, nothing else compares. From the gardens, bedrooms, restaurant and most importantly the staff, Barnsley House has it all. Every guest enjoyed their time at Barnsley House and many mentioned how breathtaking the venue was and how the staff went out of their way to ensure everyone was having a good time. Our Wedding Coordinator, Rachel was very professional and had everything in hand, nothing was too much trouble for her.The most unique and beautiful venue, nothing else compares. From the gardens, bedrooms, restaurant and most importantly the staff, Barnsley House has it all. Every guest enjoyed their time at Barnsley House and many mentioned how breathtaking the venue was and how the staff went out of their way to ensure everyone was having a good time. Rachel & her brilliant team looked after us perfectly.The hospitality extended throughout the planning stages of the wedding was exceptional, including an absolutely superb tasting session for the wedding breakfast. Andrew & I are extremely busy work wise which Rachel understood & she 'got us' straight away which made it an easy & unforgettable experience. Calm, reassuring & in control when a bride (& groom!) needs it most!
