This elegant Georgian house set in 100 acres of breath-taking parkland boasts magnificent views across the Culm Valley in Devon, and is the much loved family home of Lord Ivar Mountbatten. Hidden from public gaze for over 240 years, Bridwell opened its doors for guests to enjoy on an exclusive use hire basis for the first time in January 2015. Now, Bridwell is successfully carving out an enviable reputation, as one of Devon's finest venues. A remarkable setting for romantic weddings with a difference - the house, orangery, chapel, parkland and old stables, offer a collection of truly inspiring unspoiled spaces in which to create a spectacular event. Bridwell is the most wonderfully romantic setting for your big day. Bridwell is exclusively yours the moment you drive through the park gates. Here you will discover a divine retreat with your every desire a perfect possibility as Bridwell will become yours to use as if it were your own. I recently hosted my wedding at Bridwell Park and I just want to say that is has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Birdwell from start to finish. Lord Ivar, James and their team are just amazing, and they couldn't have done any more for us. The whole estate is absolutely epic. I can fully recommend Bridwell for both weddings and corporate events. My wife and I got Married here last weekend and the team were absolutely fantastic all the way through. We could not have asked for any more from them. All of guests commented on how stunningly beautiful the grounds are and I can't think of anywhere I would rather have spent our weekend. Our wedding was perfect!Our wedding was perfect!
Our Bridwell wedding was incredible. We were blessed with a sunny day in February. Although we wouldn't have minded if a storm had been blowing as the house was so comfortable, warm and romantic we could have happily spent all our time sat around the open fires. We really felt at home and very welcome. We had our service & evening reception in the chapel which again was warm and very enchanting. The house and chapel suited our numbers perfectly (50 people). Bridwell has an equally beautiful orangery we had the option of using too if needed. The grounds are very private and natural with deer roaming in the distance freely. Looking through every window was a delight, ever changing unspoilt countryside. Photo opportunities everywhere inside and out. Bridwell staff looked after us wonderfully from start to finish. Attended my goddaughters wedding here - a perfect relaxed setting, wonderful to be able to rent such a beautiful house for the weekend amazing grounds and deer park. Lovely to have all the family together for the weekend, and would be perfect for any special/large occasion. We chose this venue for our wedding and couldn’t have wished for more in this beautiful and loved location . The team were so helpful and friendly whilst we planned and organised our time there. The setting was perfect for our guests and us.. it captured the heart of Devon for us as we celebrated with our loved ones. The house and surrounding grounds provided so much flexibility to combine a number of set ups we wanted to plan into our time there. A truly memorable experience we will cherish for a long time. We (Storybox Films) recently had the pleasure of filming a wedding at Bridwell Park. The house is beautiful and has the most amazing grounds. We'd love to return and shoot a wedding here.
