Overlooking Kendal Castle and the Lakeland Fells, Castle Green is Kendal’s only 4* Hotel and boasts an array of contemporary facilities, including ceremony and function spaces to accommodate 25 to 250 guests, in a truly breath-taking setting.
Our original house dates back to 1847 and still contains some of the traditional features for those all-important photographs, as well as our Wedding Gazebo in the gardens for a truly romantic ceremony location.
Our award winning wedding hosts will take the time to understand exactly what you want from your special day, and will suggest one of our carefully selected Wedding Package options, priced from £2,495, to suit your requirements. If you really can’t wait to say ‘I Do’, we have seasonal packages and offers available throughout the year, priced from £2,019.

Firstly because the staff Nicola and janine where just amazing and there attention to detail was unnoticeable. They made the preparations so exciting and stress free. The venue itself was just perfect and I would not change any part of my day. The castle green hotel truly looked after me and my husband with his health complications they made sure the day went without any problems and took into account his health. They were professional and helpful every step of the way, which helped to take the stress out of planning for us. The fact that they had such good suppliers included within their packages was perfect for us. The flowers and lighting was organised and delivered with such little fuss. All of the the additional decorations that we wanted putting up were no trouble. The made the day run smoothly and effortlessly. Despite the rain the day was magical and even our dog made a visit! We had lots of comments from the guests about the quality and taste of the food. Grear space both upstairs and downstairs. Amazing team!The Castle Green staff were so helpful and friendly. The staff we fabulous and the food was fantastic. Amanda our wedding planner was very thorough and attentive with great communication. Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Must be our Summer house in the Gardens. Stone built in around 1920 it provides a fantastic 'mantlepiece' shot.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We had ex Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given at a wedding in March 2018.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Cartmel Valley smoked salmon and horseradish cream
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Anything chocolate!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our Gazebo in the grounds, fully licenced for ceremonies and great for an informal family ceremony

Our staff who are professional yet fun and unstuffy with their service to give the feeling that this is the couples home for the day.
