Our beautiful Yorkshire venue is ideally located within 30 minutes from the centre of Doncaster, 35 minutes from Wakefield & 45 Minutes of York. Hosting 5 grand acres for your outdoors wedding the scenery is some what special.
You will not be disappointed upon arrival as you drive through the private driveway along a winding tree lined avenue opening into a beautiful location. Imagine your bespoke marquee set in over 5 acres of pasture surrounded by mature trees with beautiful gardens. We have three bespoke packages available for you or alternatively if you wish to use your own caterer you can rent the marquee for the day.
The Croft Room will be available from 2021 for civil ceremonies with a luxury pagoda for your family and friends to be present on your special day with seating for over 60 guests.
It is an idyllic setting with an array of wildlife around you; a photographer’s dream where memorable moments can be captured forever. The sunsets are breadth taking they change the colour of the landscape around you as the sun slowly slips away and the night begins to fall.
We only host one event at a time from May to September to guarantee the best standard to you.

The wedding fares hosted there hold a variety of different stalls with so much info in helping you decide what’s best for your big day! When visiting cherished memories last year and deciding this was the venue of absolute dreams, Dawn showed me and my fiancé around and answered every question we had and being very accommodating to different things we are wanting. This year has been very difficult in wedding postponing, Sara has done an amazing job with managing all of this and even pencilled is a date in for next year before we had even asked to postpone. - JJamie & Ian02/06/2020Everything we'd dreamed ofEverything we'd dreamed ofWe used Cherished Memories for our wedding and they made sure it was everything we'd dreamed of. From the moment we first visited the venue, it felt like we'd found our perfect wedding venue. The proprietors, Dawn and Ian, were so accommodating and were always available to answer any queries and help us with decisions. We chose to have four tepees, to accommodate the large number of guests, and they fitted easily on the lush, green lawn. Cherished Memories had sourced everything for us, from the luxury toilets, to the generator and internal decorations. Come the big day, the place looked amazing. Every little details had been considered. The grass and hedges were trimmed, the driveway had been swept, which looked even better in the bright sunshine we were blessed with. From the moment we arrived at Balne Croft Farm, the event went like clockwork. We had our wedding breakfast, speeches and then some lawn games before doing the professional photographs in the early evening when the light was a little bit softer. Our evening entertainment was a fantastic live band (The Revs) and we had a BBQ in between their sets as the sun went down. Cherished Memories helped make our special day perfect. From the moment of booking, to the big day itself, every little detail was considered and taken care of. We can't recommend them highly enough. Ours, in July 2018, was BIG, super-BIG, think 250 day guests and another 60 at night’!There were only a handful of local venues that could deal with our numbers but we are certain we picked the best! On the day the 60 children there 😳 had acres of secure space to run free, we had a giant bouncy slide and castle, room to put up craft tents, chill out zones and even a pizza oven in the evening. A posh picnic hamper dinner, a selection of cocktail ice-pops and a fab live band completed the rustic / festival feel. The Moody Mare kept our guests plied with amazing cocktails too. We didn’t use a wedding planner so for such a big event Dawn’s help was invaluable. Give yourselves the opportunity to create your own amazing memories by getting in touch with the team at Cherished Memories. Dawn and her team are a joy to work alongside, a unique location with stunning views of the East Riding. Every attention to detail is paid and nothing is too much trouble. Quite possibly the easiest person I have worked with. They have total respect for everyone who comes together to make an event individual and memorable.I have been in the special events industry for over 40 years, worked in every location imaginable all over the country and worked with many event organisers/wedding planners. Dawn and her team are a joy to work alongside, a unique location with stunning views of the East Riding. Every attention to detail is paid and nothing is too much trouble. I must say how welcoming Dawn and Ian are at their venue and so organised , nothing is too much trouble with endless cups of coffee and offers to help bring the flowers in .... they can't do enough to make sure everything runs smoothly and we are just the suppliers. Brides and grooms to be need not to stress with every little detail overseen by dawn from start to finish . The venue itself is truly stunning with endless views of the beautiful countryside in a very private setting . I am a florist who has worked for brides and grooms at the venue cherished memories . I must say how welcoming Dawn and Ian are at their venue and so organised , nothing is too much trouble with endless cups of coffee and offers to help bring the flowers in .... they can't do enough to make sure everything runs smoothly and we are just the suppliers. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Our daughters wedding the atmosphere was fantastic there was such a relaxed feeling around us being in the open countryside, as the day turns to dusk the guests could sit and watch the glorious sunset as the night fell. The bride and groom and guests slept in glam pits underneath the night sky so romantic what a fabulous idea to end a fantastic day.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Try to limit the number of DIY projects you take on for your own wedding. While doing things yourself can help to save costs, I think sometimes we forget just how much work goes into them!” Think of the costs for someone to do the work and the brides time remember you do not want to be putting strain on the bride as the special day draws nearer.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Lovely baskets filled with packets of tissues with the bride and grooms name and the date of the wedding with a lovely verse " a tissue for tears of joy, tears of laughter, tears of happily ever after", plus boxes of confetti provided to all the guests on entering the church.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The venue is surrounded by so many excellent photo spots there isn't one I would recommend; the landscape and surrounding areas change dramatically when the day turns to dusk.
