Chilli Barn is about ten miles north of Leeds and there is a wide choice of accommodation locally. Converted in 2014, Chilli Barn combines the charm and character of its rural past with a touch of glamour and modernity. The old wagon door, now glazed, opens out to the lawn and meadow. We offer access before and after your wedding day to allow you to dress the Barn and surroundings to your taste and we will work closely with you well in advance to develop a plan to make Chilli Barn the ideal place for your magical wedding. All our food is freshly cooked on site and can be served either to table or more informally as a buffet. We have recently created a new vegetarian menu which combines British and international influences and offers a wide range of choices to suit your taste. The ceremony capacity at Chilli Barn is 60 with an evening party capacity of 100. The space can be enhanced with an attached marquee or outdoor structure. The bar offers a wide range of wines, beers and spirits, many of which are organic, vegetarian and local. You can source your complimentary drinks from our list at a discount or supply your own (there is a service charge for this). We can also serve a barrel of your favourite real ale from local breweries

A detailed estimate for food, drinks, staffing and hire costs can be provided after meeting at Chilli Barn to discuss an initial wedding plan. The price per day guest including hire costs, wedding breakfast and a drinks package is usually in the range £85-£115. Included in this are meetings with our wedding planner and exclusive access to Chilli Barn from 11am the day before the wedding to 11am the day after. There are discounts if your ceremony is before arrival, and for bookings November-March excluding public holidays and midweek (Tuesday-Wednesday). The hire fee includes all the regular Barn furnishings including tables and chairs, crockery, cutlery and glassware and the use in dry weather of straw bales for outside seating and a fire pit with logs. To increase reception space and dining options we offer packages using marquees, tipis and yurts at extra cost.

We'd love to take this opportunity to thank Richard, Bex, Heather & all the barn staff for the most wonderful experience! Bex from Oakleaf weddings was amazing right from the word go! She was on hand to answer our 101 questions with her speedy email correspondence and helped to solve any logistical worries we had. She was the perfect friendly face as I stepped out of the wedding car (not hyperventilating at all �). Bex, along with the whole team, were eagle-eyed the whole day! The second I had a gift or card in my hand it was whisked away to the drop box. An empty wine bottle? Immediately replaced! They helped hugely with the clean up, putting all our wedding decorations to one side to help with the next day pack up (which in all honesty I had been dreading but had absolutely no reason to in the end)! It just couldn't have gone smoother. The food. OH THE FOOD! I'll leave this quote from one of my meat loving guests because it just says it all... "Nat, I'll be honest. I woke up this morning and I was too keen on the whole idea. Vegetarian food? Not for me. But that was amazing! You'd never know it was vege. And I'm stuffed!" Literally amazing food! I've asked my husband to go to the cheerful chilli on the 12th of every month...can't understand why he said no?! We can hand on heart say that the Chilli Barn was our dream venue. The flexibility the barn offered us allowed us to have the most chilled out, laid back day with a festival vibe. Imagine guests lounging on hay bales, marshmallows toasting over the fire pit, flip cup cheers bellowing in the background, cows mooing infront of the most beautiful sunset over the hill. Inside the barn, the 3 piece band (drums and all) thrash away infront of a backdrop of a 1,000 paper cranes, the guests dancing and singing until their voices are no more. Upstairs, sweet bags being filled, heart felt messages pouring into the guestbook, ping pong balls bouncing into beer cups. The barn literally made our vision of the perfect party come alive. It's not your usual venue, nothing compared to the conveyor belt feel you get at some of the more generic venues. Thank you again and we'll be back soon!
