We offer a choice of ceremony locations, indoor & outdoor, perfect for romantic weddings. Our 4-poster suites and private Honeymoon Lodge provide a stunning blend of history and modern luxury. The Lodge delivers the ultimate statement in luxury; set within its own private walled gardens embellished with water feature and sculptures by renowned artist, Lucianne Lassalle. We have successfully organised weddings for thousands of couples for well over three decades. Our team of staff have gained experience unmatched within the wedding industry. Only gave one star as the site says I needed to rate something before I could submit a review. After reading everyone else's great reviews, we were looking at this but then discovered they don't have an external website and it's in fact gone under. Such a shame as it was definitely on our shortlist! Amazing Venue, Incredible Staff, Stunning MemoriesAmazing Venue, Incredible Staff, Stunning Memories
We were married in 2014 on my 50th Birthday. Our guests joined us for the whole weekend and what an amazing, magical weekend it was. As we had the whole Castle we arranged a Treasure Hunt in the garden on Friday afternoon, followed by a fancy dress dinner/discos. We were married on the Saturday and our guests were particularly impressed that they could choose from a menu on the day. Food was delicious and the staff were on hand to ensure that everything went smoothly. We felt that we were having a house party (a very fancy house party)! Booking Comlongon was one of the best decisions we have ever made, we still think about it often and so do our guests. We had the pleasure of marrying at Comlongon Castle last month and it was everything we both dreamed it would be. Our wedding planners did a fantastic job in organising some of our random ideas! For anyone thinking of marrying in Scotland then this is the place to come! Thank you to all involved with the planning of our wedding and on the day itself. Mr and Mrs Shaw 26.08.18We had the pleasure of marrying at Comlongon Castle last month and it was everything we both dreamed it would be. Me and my partner stayed in this weekend 22/8/16 for our anniversary, it was a beautiful large suite with a high standard to detail. From the moment we arrived we fell in love with the place. From the main reception to the keep it was draped in history, and The extensive beautiful gardens you could spend all evening in. It felt like home and the people working there made it even more relaxing and attended to everything you needed. We will definitely be going back asap PLEASE DON'T CHANGE A THING ! we will recommend it to everyone we know, it's a must. BEST WEDDING EVER !BEST WEDDING EVER !
No words do this place and it's staff justice. We have just had, what almost all of our guests have described as 'the best wedding ever'. From looking after everyone the day and night before, to the whole deal on the day, the night, and the next 2 days too for my wife and I. All of the staff were professional, friendly, happy, fun, and went above and beyond in every way. All the guests that stayed at the hotel loved the rooms, the castle, the hotel, the grounds. The character of Comlongon cannot be highly praised enough. Lisa, the wedding coordinator made sure everything ran seamlessly.... genuinely not a thing went wrong or was out of place, in fact, she had seemingly last minute ideas which added to the joy and magic of the day. Lisa left us in the care of the incredible Denton for the evening and night, what a fabulous chap!! If you're looking for a photographer, you won't beat the castles favourite, Julie Winspear. She has an eye for amazing pictures, different pictures, spur of the moment pictures.... she knows the castle and grounds inside out. She has become a friend because of this and we love her for it!! The Castle Band..... if you can, book them!! They get everybody up to dance, are particularly talented, and you will never forget the dance you'll all do to 'Auld Lang Syne'. Aaaaaand fireworks, a pricey treat, but you get more than you think you will. A real special extra that most guests wouldn't have expected!! The food at every meal, through the wedding breakfast to our evening meals was superb. The venue and staff make you feel at home. As soon as we walked in we were encouraged to treat the place as ours, and we did. I've read a couple of reviews which seem quite scathing, but none of us saw anything to justify any such criticism. There are other places that pertain to be castle wedding venues, but I guarantee, after having visited a few on the run up to our wedding, NOTHING will compare to your wedding at Comlongon. Magical, romantic, authentic, unique. Thank you all SO very much for making ours a day to cherish forever, and being our friends. Phil, (owner) I think we saw you in passing but didn't get the chance to speak. I'm sure you're proud of your hotel and staff already, but we just wanted to make sure you know just how special and dedicated to our special day they all were. Fantastic stay at Comlongon Castle 30 years after celebrating our wedding there! The castle has been magnificently restored in the time since we were last there and is a wonderful location. Staff were fantastic, food magnificent and we could not have had a better 30th anniversary. Time was rolling back. Comlongon castle was the perfect wedding venue . Absolutely perfect from the word go. Beautiful castle and gardens. The wedding meal and evening buffet were both perfect. Staff were great and couldn't do enough for every one who attended. Wish we could have stayed in the castle but will definitely return and book into the castle next time we are in Scotland.Comlongon castle was the perfect wedding venue .
