Deans Court is set in romantic, semi-wild gardens. The Wedding marquee lies next to an ancient lake, where monks used to fish 1,000 years ago. Today, the venue retains a dreamy, rural atmosphere – but only a stone’s throw from the centre of the pretty Dorset market Town of Wimborne, with its famous Minster.
The venue fee is virtually all-inclusive, and covers everything you need to hold a Country Wedding in a marquee, apart from the food and drink. One of our main strengths lies in the fact that we can organise everything for you – even flowers from our garden, and on-site accommodation for the Wedding party (up to 12 people in our Cottages, and further 14 in our Gate House.
Deans Court is a private family home, so you can rest assured that the venue is yours exclusively for your day. Every wedding here is unique because it is designed by the Bride & Groom, with the help of our events team.

The house and gardens have a very natural, relaxed feel, unlike many other venues we looked at which felt so contrived. Jonathan and the events team were so helpful in the lead up to day and on the day itself. Jonathan really spent time with us to help us make the right decisions about how we wanted the day to work. He was also very tolerant and patient when we left lots to the last minute and ended up making some big decisions the day before! The accommodation on site is really lovely and was so handy to have so much space to accommodate close family on the grounds of the reception. A really beautiful venue, surprisingly close to Wimborne, considering it feels so secluded. The house and gardens have a very natural, relaxed feel, unlike many other venues we looked at which felt so contrived. - RRoxy & Sean10/02/2020Roxy & Sean – 10th August 2019 Roxy & Sean – 10th August 2019We had an outdoor ceremony on 10th August 2019, and it was just the best day ever! From the moment we contacted Jonathan, we knew we were in safe hands, Jonathan was so helpful and always gave quick responses as we were planning it all from Dubai. We also wanted to make sure our guests travelling from all over the world had the opportunity to stay in the Cottages and Gate House, which are all beautifully designed. The bridal party got ready in Plum Cottage, with plenty of space in the living room for makeup chairs and lots of people(!), and a beautiful view over the fields to take the stress away.. it was also very easy to walk over to the ceremony area through the gorgeous gardens. We were so lucky with the weather, with gale-force winds in the morning we thought we might have to have it inside, in the end though the sun was shining the rest of the day and only drizzled just as we were signing our certificates – with all our of guests joining us under the pagoda!! The ceremony space, marquee and outdoor areas were all meticulously detailed and Jonathan et al. really made us at-ease on the day, we really didn’t need to worry about anything. Drinks flowed, everyone was taken care of, entertained with garden games, delicious food from a food truck (Flaming Peaches), space to dance the night away, the lighting was warm and cosy, and the firepit really made the evening magical! The grounds full of huge trees, flowers and a beautiful lake plus the house itself all made for stunning photos, and a place where guests could explore and relax. There is nothing negative at all to say because it really was organised to perfection. Thank you so much most of all to Jonathan, but also Katherine and Steven and the rest of the team working behind the scenes to make it such a special and memorable day. Deans Court will always have a special place in our heart, and we always come to visit the squash court café and continue to do so every time we are in town! The whole planning process was an absolute pleasure Deans court couldn’t of done anymore to help! No matter if we had questions or wanted a visit it was never a chore! Jonathan made it the most perfect day helping us plan from start to finish to have the most beautiful day! The amount of our guests keep saying it was the best wedding they have been too!! We never expected Katherine and Steven to do as much setting up as they did that we actually ended up with time on our hands the day before - I mean, I've never organised a wedding before, but I'm pretty sure that never happens... Literally all of our guests agreed that the venue was stunning, even in a bit of occasional drizzle! When the moon came out later on, along with some river-side mist, it made the atmosphere even more special. Jonathan and his team were fantastic and made everything run so smoothly and the attention to detail was second to none, we even had comments about the fluffy towels in the toilets! Delicious food and drink too; the day was faultless. If you're looking for a wedding venue in this area, book Deans Court! We had our wedding reception at Deans Court and it was perfect. We decided to have a 'blessing ceremony' and our evening reception at deans Court. When we went to view the grounds they showed us the accommodation on site- which we simply fell in love with and decided to book all the accommodation which I would thoroughly recommend to enhance the wedding weekend vibe! All organisation from deans Court was amazing- any queries meant with speedy and friendly responses from events manager Jonathan- nothing seemed a problem! We used the in house florist (Kelly) as well- who was simply incredible and produced the most beautiful looking and smelling flowers. Our wedding day itself was amazing! We were somewhat unlucky with the weather as it literally rained every minute of the whole day HOWEVER this did not dampen any spirits and the staff at Deans Court were amazing- they brought out umbrellas for guests and helped guide us through the day. in the end the weather made no difference and if anything made the day feel so much more intimate. Our guests are still raving about it! The food and drink were also spectacular.From start to finish Deans Court have been incredible. This also meant that our friends and family could either stay on the estate or in the Wimborne Hotels and not have to worry about taxis etc before or after wedding. Jonathan the wedding planner was extremely helpful and ensured everything ran smoothly. It was literally a dream come true!We had a perfect day at Deans Court. Jonathan and Amy were very helpful in the planning and nothing was too much trouble. We were very lucky and had beautiful weather so we had our ceremony overlooking the lake. We met with Jonathan who was amazing from the start, he showed us round gave us all the information we needed in order to make an informed decision. He wasn't pushy and was extremely relaxed through the process. At our two month to go meeting Jonathan was extremely well organised and made us feel that he had everything under control well that is an understatement, everything Jonathan has done for us has been amazing. two days before the big day we dropped everything off at the venue and met some of the team (Steve and Katherine) who were all just as lovely as Jonathan. We went back to look over the venue the day before and OMG they made it look amazing we were extremely happy with the professionalism of everything they had done for us. On the day we were greeting personally by Jonathan who gave my self and my new wife our first welcome drink and the evening only got better from there. The food was amazing, the bar staff were friendly and Jonathan, Steve and Katherine could not do more to make sure that the day was exactly as we wanted it to be. Every guests' place name was a picture of that guest as a child, with a personal note on the back.

Exclusive, personal, somewhat rustic, a little bit wild, and very customisable
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We have a big pond which makes a great backdrop - but there is also a beautiful herb garden, and walled garden ... we'll there are lot's actually - a photographer's dream...
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Not that we can name (!)
What’s your favourite canapé?
One chef made these mushroom 'shots' which I loved - but the Sausage & Mash is a staff favourite - and the mini Beef and Yorkshire Puddings.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Chicken Shawarma Wraps - unexpected at a wedding, but exactly what you need !
What is your venue's most unique feature?
I think that our marquee garden - it's right next to our ancient pond - giving the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor space.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Probably our wait/bar staff - we always get such great comments from brides, grooms and guests about them - we couldn't be more proud !!
