The most special day The most special day
I know everyone says it, but this was the best day of our lives! Aside from the obvious, marrying my best friend all the other details were completely perfect, namely our venue. When we went to view our venue, one cold Saturday in January 2018 we were swept away by its splendour and the stunning grounds were something else! We saw a family of deer whilst we were there and this sold it for my husband! We couldn’t have imagined our wedding anywhere else so we booked it up there and then. The staff at Easthampstead made the lead up to the big day feel easy. They were on hand to answer any of my queries and were extremely knowledgeable during our meeting, where we discussed catering, seating and how the day would run. On the day itself the whole operation was seamless. Diane oversaw the setting up of the main room ( Downshire Room) and even popped upstairs to my dressing room to sort a few things with photos and button holes! We were incredibly fortunate with the weather for October, it was 18 degrees and sunny so we were thrilled that everyone was able to enjoy the maginificant grounds. Our DJ even took his sound system outside and played music for the guests as we had our photos taken! The food was sensational! We chose the marquess package which included chicken supreme as the main. So many of our guests complimented the food, saying it was the best wedding food they’d ever had! The caramel tart was absolutely delicious! The transition from the bridal breakfast to the evening disco was amazing, there were plenty of places to go; around the rest of the house, outside, in the bar area and some of our guests were able to freshen up in their rooms (being able to stay there was another great perk of this venue). Our photographer was able to capture the mist magical photos with the beautiful grounds as a back drop. One of our favourites is taken at sunset with woodland behind us. We were absolutely thrilled with our special day and our choice of venue, Diane and her team added that extra touch, which enabled us to relax and just enjoy our day without having to worry about anything else.
