Description

fforest Farm is the perfect location for a relaxed, informal, weekend-long celebration with family and friends. The 200 acres of fforest farm are part of an area of unspoilt natural beauty, wrapped in woods, wildlife and wonder. The farm is flanked on one side by the Teifi Marshes nature reserve and on the other, Cilgerran gorge, through which the magnificent river Teifi flows down to our local town of Cardigan and the Irish sea beyond. fforest Farm has been created as a place to enjoy the simplicity, pleasures and beauty of outdoor living in an outstanding natural environment. With its private tiny stone pub, large communal firepit and secret woodland sauna, a choice of event spaces from giant hat tipis, garden pavilions and dining and party barns, fforest Farm is yours for the weekend. fforest is located in north Pembrokeshire minutes from the Cardigan Bay Coast. The venue consists of a variety of indoor and outdoor locations, as well as on-site serviced accommodation for 130+ ranging from a grand Georgian 5 bed, 5 bathroom farmhouse to 20ft diameter geodesic domes (guests pay separately for their accommodation). The site also features a large communal firepit, a cedar barrel sauna and is adjacent to the River Teifi perfect for some pre-breakfast wild swimming. fforest holds a licence for intimate civil ceremonies in our lodge, Bwthyn pub or garden pavilion. Our giant hat tipis seat 80 to 120 guests for a personalised humanist wedding celebration. Our catering style is relaxed, full of colour and flavour, making the best of seasonal, local and home-grown produce. Please contact us for more information.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

The most memorable weddings are always the ones that showcase the couple's personalities. If you are colourful, loud, creative, musical, nature-loving, athletic, then ensure that you incorporate something that reflects this into the celebrations. We are constantly inspired by the creativity of our couples, and we do embrace different! Do it your way and you can't go wrong.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't sweat the small stuff. Detail is important, but if something doesn't go to plan, unless you've publicised it in advance, chances are no-one will notice. The most important things are a great atmosphere, great food and drink and a happy relaxed couple surrounded by friends and family.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Bespoke enamel mugs, beautifully designed, well made, so that everyone could have a brew the morning after the wedding at the communal tea station with their special souvenir mugs. We love functional favours!

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed, rural, outdoor, crafted, magical

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

All of the ceremony locations are stunning - the ancient slate quarry, the giant hat tipi with sides up and uninterrupted views or the intimate tiny pub are our favourites.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We've had our share of famous musicians and familiar faces from tv and film, but we aren't ones to gossip!

What’s your favourite canapé?

If I had to choose, then Parmesan shortbreads with goats cheese & fig chutney . But they're all great.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Home made hot sausage rolls in flaky pastry with mustard mayo

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Just one? The huge communal firepit, the teeny weeny candlelit pub, the cedar barrel sauna hidden in the woods, the atmospheric quarry, oodles of fabulous bespoke accommodation including the onsen dome with outdoor Japanese-style cast concrete soaking tub .........

What part of your business are you most proud of?

The testimonials. Just proves that 12 years of designing, building, researching, decorating, tasting, growing and hard slog has all been worth it. And our staff - although the venue is truly magical, most of our compliments are directed towards our wonderful team and we couldn't do it without them.
