If you are looking for one of the most romantic settings in England, look no further than Hedingham Castle. Set in 160 acres of formal gardens, lakes and woods, the 900 year old Norman Keep provides a stunning centre point to your day. Ceremonies take place on the majestic Banqueting Floor of the Castle, with receptions in the permanent Marquee in the gardens of the Georgian Mansion House. Smaller receptions can also be held in the Castle itself, and the Garden Cottage is available for preparation and for the couple’s first night.

The venue hire fee cost includes the following: Use of the Castle for the ceremony, use of the grounds, House, Marquee, all staff, cutlery, crockery, table linen, glassware, cake stand and knife, table plan easel, your own personal Wedding Coordinator, use of the Cottage for pre bridal preparations (for the bride and bridesmaids), the Cottage for your overnight stay and use of a Mercedes Car to transport everyone up to the Castle from the Cottage.

Staff can be quite patronising, and not great planners compared to other event venues. Various hidden charges, so think there is better value for better venues out there. Looks good in photos!! The staff are very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. A huge plus is the venue offer a ceremony only wedding which can keep the costs down. Hedingham Castle is the most breath taking, beautiful and truly romantic wedding venue that any bride could wish for. As the sun shone on the castle, we couldn't of imagined getting married any where else but here. The day was wonderful, with one guest describing its as 'layers of a cake', with each layer is another surprise. First we exchanged vows in the candle lit castle surrounded by our family and friends. Next we took our first walk as husband and wife over the beautiful bridge, surrounded by rose petal confetti. We were then greeted into the Main House, with a glass of champagne by the lovely staff, where we relaxed on the lawn, with a string quartet playing. We then made our way into the Marquee where we ate, drank and danced the night away. What we would give to do it all over again. I cannot thank the team at Hedingham enough, for making every single part of our dream come true.
