The splendid Edwardian facade and grace of the hotel, together with the stunning gardens and delightful views across Bournemouth bay, provides the perfect romantic backdrop for your celebration. Hotel Miramar is licensed for marriage ceremonies in The Library, Lounge, Rose Room (outside venue overlooking Bournemouth bay) and the Garden Suite.
If you are looking for an outdoor wedding venue in Bournemouth, Hotel Miramar offers you our stunning landscaped gardens with breath taking sea views. Close to the beach where you can go alone or with friends and family for some fun wedding beach photos.
Following your ceremony Hotel Miramar has a choice of banqueting suites for your sophisticated wedding reception. Host your guests in grand style with a wedding breakfast in the Garden Suite (venue accommodates up to 160 guests for a banquet), the Restaurant (for up to 100 guests).
As one of Bournemouth’s premier wedding venues, Hotel Miramar is committed to making your day perfect. Our wedding co-ordinators Brett Stewart & David Bailey will be delighted to advise you in the planning of your celebration; your choice of menu, wines, seating arrangements, floral decorations and themed room dressing plus any special requirements you may have.

It was nerve-racking as you don't want to forget one single thing! Miramar made the whole process a very enjoyable experience, advising us when to arrange appointments elsewhere and what to organise at that point in time. This was a huge weight lifted from us, we knew we were on track. From the moment we walked into the Hotel for the very first time we were greeted with nothing but friendly staff, such a happy vibe. We had a tour, and quickly made the decision to book our wedding day at the Hotel. We were made to feel so special from that moment on, each time I rang the Reception staff were lovely. The actual wedding day was amazing... so many of our guests commented on how beautiful the hotel was and the most popular conversation was how amazing Brett (The Exclusive Event and Wedding planner) was, he really went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly and ensure every guest was as happy as they could be, we invited him in to listen to our Speeches as we thought so highly of him, we will definitely be returning to the Miramar in the future to reminisce our special day with friends. Food was delicious, nothing was too much trouble. Facilities were first class, bridal suite and other rooms were beautifully decorated. Planning the day was easy and all our requests were met without hesitation. The day itself ran smoothly and all our guests enjoyed with their stays (some choose to stay a little longer as they came from abroad). We returned for afternoon tea on our wedding anniversary and my family have returned when visiting the area. The location is perfect and watching the sunset over the sea lead to some amazing photos. We held our Wedding Reception at the Miramar had couldn't have asked for a better day. Planning the day was easy and all our requests were met without hesitation. The day itself ran smoothly and all our guests enjoyed with their stays (some choose to stay a little longer as they came from abroad). The build up to the wedding, whilst should be a nerve wracking and stressful time, Brett made sure everything was taken care of , relaxed and nothing felt forced. On the day, everything was set up exactly how we wanted it. We were graced with amazing weather which just made the day brighter. The gardens, where our ceremony was held were beautiful with the clear sea views. Our guests were really taken care of, Brett made sure they all had drinks and were happy and mingling. The reception was really amazing. The room was set up perfectly and everything was done in the exact same way as I had imagined it. The food was so good! We had a casual package with BBQ food and honestly, it tasted amazing. I cannot express enough how good this hotel, the staff and Brett were. All our guests have commented on how good the day went, how relaxing and comfortable it was. I had such a memorable day that I will cherish forever, my husband and I are so grateful for the staff and Brett at Hotel Miramar! We get many beautiful couples that leave with a friendship or a loving memory but two that standout; 1) I got invited into their speeches and learnt so much more. 2) I got invited to drink and party with them in the evening (I didn’t have too much to drink).

Don't just go by price, go with your head and hart.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We have a connection with J.R.R Tolkien staying with us when he was alive and the couple themed their cake as a stack of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit Books.
