Description

Knowlton Court is a gorgeous country house manor and wedding venue near Canterbury. The lovely house, surrounded by hundreds of acres of charming parkland, makes a perfect setting for a romantic and elegant wedding. The Manor House can host up to 86 seated guests for dining and 156 for the evening reception, and it is available for exclusive use. We also have a marquee that seats 150 guests for the wedding breakfast between April and October, larger weddings can be catered for.

The ceremony can either be held in the Great Hall; seating up to 100 or outside in the Garden Pavilion, seating for 150, space for 250+; additional fee for the extra chairs required. The Great Hall seats 86 for the wedding breakfast. For the evening celebrations you may invite up to an additional 70 guests. We provide the tables, table linen, chairs, glassware and drinks/bar staff. Party until midnight.

"Absolutely stunning. The Perfect Place. Achingly beautiful on a summer's day. Quite impossible to create a more beautiful setting. Walking down the tree-lined carriage-drive from the Dower House to The Great Hall with both our families in informal procession was simply joyful. And The Dower House itself provides the finest accommodation; stylish, incredibly tasteful, relaxing and comfortable with an intimate, gracious, elegant charm. We completely loved it. When we viewed Knowlton Court we knew we had found 'the one'.When we viewed Knowlton Court we knew we had found 'the one'.
When Andrew and I drove up the long tree lined drive to Knowlton Court we knew we had found ‘the one.’ We had envisaged a wedding weekend in the heart of the glorious Kent countryside and Knowlton delivered just that. Our entire party stayed on site between the Dower House, Knowlton Rooms and the Lodge from Friday to Monday. Although the weekend and wedding took 18 months of planning it was truly worth the hard work. We had a relaxing Friday evening at the Dower House with our family and friends and then were able to relax and get ready on site for our wedding on the Saturday. The weather shined upon us and we married in the garden, followed by drinks reception in the grounds. Our wedding breakfast took place within the Great Hall, which looked stunning. Hosting our family and friends for our wedding in such a beautiful house and setting was a dream come true. Absolutely Perfect!!Absolutely Perfect!!
We had our wedding here in July and it was absolutely perfect!! The minute we viewed this venue we knew it was the one. It is such a beautiful and classy venue. Dawn is brilliant! She cannot help you out enough from your first initial meeting to the final days leading up to the wedding. We had originally planned to get married under the pavilion but due to the weather this had to be changed to indoors but I have to say I'm glad this happened as we really enjoyed having our ceremony inside and all our guests agreed. The room is beautiful! We had the house for the day and then all moved to the marquee for the evening reception which worked well for us to have everyone in one place. We stayed here the night before and after the wedding. We used the knowlton flats, bridal suite, knowlton rooms and the lodge. All amazing and comfy rooms! Absolutely brilliant! That is the best way to describe our wedding at Knowlton. We will cherish every memory for the rest of our lives. Our wedding was not just about us but about having those we love, our family and friends, around us. We so wanted to be able to spend time with all the guests; one day would not be enough! Everyone settling in to enjoy a BBQ at the Dower House the day before the wedding and being able to enjoy the company of guests until they departed the day after the wedding made the weekend so special. The whole Knowlton Estate is absolutely stunning, elegant and relaxing, this combined with the brilliant staff who were available at all times in the lead up and on the day meant we could not have asked for more. Just perfect!Absolutely brilliant! That is the best way to describe our wedding at Knowlton. We will cherish every memory for the rest of our lives. We had the most amazing wedding day at Knowlton Court.We had the most amazing wedding day at Knowlton Court.
From the very first time we viewed the property we knew it was where we wanted to get married. We loved staying in the houses which allowed u to spead our wedding celebrations out over three day which allowed us to spend quality time with our family and friends. We would like to thank Dawn and everyone at Knowlton Court for all their hard work in making sure our wedding day was so special. We couldn't have chosen a better place to have our wedding. Knowlton Court is an idyllic, romantic venue and would highly recommend.
