The Limpley Stoke Hotel provides an elegant venue near Bath. Our spacious and elegant public rooms make the Limpley Stoke Hotel an ideal venue for your wedding reception. With a choice of function rooms for up to 200 guests and our caring and attentive staff, we pride ourselves in helping to make the day a truly memorable occasion.
We are licensed by the local authority to hold civil ceremonies at the hotel, thus you are now able to marry and have your reception at the same venue. We have a professional and dedicated Wedding Co-Ordinator, who is always at hand for help and advice. The luxurious Four Poster bridal suite is available complimentary to the Bride and Groom on their first night. We have excellent banqueting facilities, and a large car park – these coupled with the location overlooking the magnificent Avon valley makes the Limpley Stoke a truly ideal wedding venue.

We stayed from the 3rd November to the 4th November for my friend’s wedding. The rooms were lovely, big with very high ceilings! The bed was amazingly comfortable, one of the best I’d stayed in. The food was really enjoyable; we had food on the Friday before the wedding and opted for the curry. This tasted great! The breakfast was a traditional buffet breakfast with pastries and had a range of food catering for everyone. Unfortunately, there were no hash browns but they had everything else! As a wedding venue, Limpley Stoke is just a beautiful setting for it. The room where the ceremony took place was perfect; large windows and high ceilings, creating a perfect atmosphere. Outside of the hotel, there are some lovely photo opportunities – can’t wait to see the pics from the wedding. The wedding breakfast was perfect and the staff worked hard throughout the event to make it all run smoothly! In the evening, the ceremony room was once again transformed and offered a perfect space to dance around in and enjoy the night! We had a great few days at the hotel and would definitely consider going again! The place is just wonderful and the staff worked tirelessly over the weekend, many of them who I saw working late at night and were back again early in the morning. Karen the wedding coordinator did amazing job so did the other staff the food was amazing , enjoyed the whole experience, was there for two days and we could not fault it . (I was the wedding coordinator here for a long time so I knew they did a good wedding � but it was even better than I ever thought) we stayed the night before and from the moment we arrived we were treated amazingly by all the staff! The rooms looked absolutely amazing! The food was exceptional! Every one of our guests has commented on how good the food was! From the canapés to the wedding breakfast to the evening buffet! Everything was looked after and happened seamlessly! A special mention to the wonderful Diana and of course Dave who were there for the day as well. It really was everything I expected and more! We just got our professional photos back and relived the day and wish that we could do it all over again! A big thank you to Karen as well who helped us plan the day in the run up! She was always on the end of the phone or email if we needed her and we felt very looked after! Thank you again! It was wonderful to return the hotel anyway, but especially for such an amazing day! It was the best day of my life everything was really well organised by the hotel and the rooms were set up perfectly just how I had imagined, The food was absolutely amazing and everyone commented on how good it was. The pianist who came with the hotel was great, he played lovely through the meal. The DJ was the best I had encountered in the evening. He played all our requested songs and plenty of great songs to keep people on the dance floor. The day was totally relaxed and we didn't have to worry about a thing the staff at the hotel are lovely and amazing, so thank you to you allWe got married here on the 23rd of September. From our very first visit to the hotel to look at it for a wedding venue we were provided with a fantastic service. They were so helpful and more than happy to answer all our questions. Karen, the wedding co-ordinator, was amazing. Each meeting we had with her we would go through every detail of the day, no matter how big or small and she made us feel at ease. The hotel also catered for very specific dietary requirements for many of our guests, which was fantastic. On our wedding day the weather was beautiful, so we arrived late from the church. This wasn't a problem for the hotel. They asked us if we would like to push the food back by an hour so we could enjoy the canapés and arrival drinks in the sun. Such a fantastic service provided all day by Karen and the hotel staff. The hotel also had enough rooms for all our friends and family to sleep, as most of them had travelled far. This was a bonus for us and was so lovely to have everyone at the same venue for the whole weekend. We would hugely recommend this hotel for a wedding or even a weekend away, friendly staff, amazing service and beautiful views over the valley. We just wish we could do it all again! A huge thank you to Karen for everything she did to help make our big day so special. Karen was super efficient in the lead up to and planning of the wedding, our meetings beforehand were always very helpful and everything worked out beautifully. We got married at 11am at our local church, so needed the whole venue set up and ready for 1pm when our guests would begin to arrive. Everything was set up beautifully and just the way I had asked for it to look. The food, the venue, the staff, the hotel rooms, the organisation ... everything was perfect! The venue itself is beautiful and has lots of different rooms - one for eating, one for dancing, one for drinking, one for relaxing - which is one of the reasons we chose the venue as we liked the idea of people being able to do what they wanted and not feel in the middle of everything. We asked for games in one of the rooms, which were all set up for us and added extra entertainment to our reception. The gazebo was beautifully decorated with the decorations we had bought and the sweet suitcase table, arrivals table, and breakfast room were all set up and decorated in the way we had imagined and all of them looked brilliant. When the band and photo booth arrived, they were shown where to set up, and everything worked out just the way we had planned. The guests that stayed in the hotel the night before and night of the wedding have all commented on what a brilliant stay they had. We also loved our wedding night suite! The views from the hotel are perfect for wedding photos and we have some of the most stunning photos and memories from the outside of the hotel on our wedding day! The staff were fantastic and everything ran smoothly. The food was so tasty and everyone loved it! Breakfast was even set up for all of us the following morning to all be together, which was also amazing, and added that extra touch to our special weekend. A big thank you to Karen and all of the staff at Limpley Stoke for making our wedding day extra special. We would highly recommend this wedding venue.
