Our impressive function rooms, exquisite food and attentive friendly staff all play their part, as well as our experienced wedding planners on-hand help and advice guiding you every step of the way.
Of all the aspects of planning a wedding, your choice of venue is likely to have the biggest overall impact on your day. Whilst the colour of your flowers, design of your dress and choice of music all have their own role in the celebration, nothing has more of an influence on the atmosphere of your wedding than its location.
At Manor By The Lake you are free to choose exactly how and where you would like to take your vows. Be spoilt for choice with our perfectly manicured gardens, breathtaking lake or one of our lavish reception rooms.
Our approach to catering for your event is totally focused on your wishes. We’ll talk through your plans for the day, and understand the style and format for the wedding. Our talented chefs will advise on styles of cuisine, and popular dishes, and can arrange tasting sessions if you require.
You and your guests can celebrate into the night by enjoying one of our twelve bedrooms, which are all individually designed and exquisitely furnished. After the celebrations, newlyweds can relax in our lavishly appointed honeymoon suite, which boasts a four- poster bed, the finest fabrics and furniture, Smart TVs, private parlours and ambient lighting. The perfect end to the perfect day.

They adjusted the minimum spend on their own accord to accomadate our wedding. The day it's self was absolutely amazing and Manor by the Lakes staff went above and beyond our expectations making our day better then we could of hoped for. The rooms for the guests and the bridal suite are beyond words and when our guests arrived they were speechless. This venue gives you butterflies from the time you first see it to the time you leave after your wedding. What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It’s all about the Food!
Yes, it’s been fantastic, everyone looked wonderful, it didn’t rain, the service was simply splendid, the children didn’t cry, the wedding venue looked fantastic and the in-laws behaved themselves – a perfect wedding day so far… then everyone sat down for the meal.
There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that the wedding breakfast can make or break a wedding, so why compromise when it’s an event you plan to remember forever.
When choosing your wedding venue, don’t only look at the wedding breakfast menu; ask to see photographs of how the food is presented and if possible ask to see reviews from previous wedding guests. Wedding venues that strive for excellence will always be proud to show them to you.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
This is so hard to choose as there are always little things at every wedding but I think it is important to remember the emotional side of a wedding. You can spend so long picking out the perfect venue, choosing the right dress, hiring the best suppliers that you can forget about the little touches.
Adding a token from your parents' wedding, exchanging love letters with your soon-to-be spouse, and creating guest books you will want to read over and over are some of the elements that could make your wedding feel ultra personal.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our couples are spoilt for choice with so many rooms and 7 acres of gardens - but every wedding will always have a picture on our romantic bridge that overlooks our private lake.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We have had a few and even a celebrity dog ...... but ssssh they are top secret so we cannot share on here - maybe we will share when you come for a viewing.
What’s your favourite canapé?
It has to be Steak and chips, with Béarnaise sauce and sun blushed tomato - its always first to run out and sometimes we have guests looking for the kitchen just to get another one!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
You could have anything at the Manor but we get a lot of requested for Hot Chocolates with cream and marshmallows waiting for everyone in the resident bar after most of the guest have gone home - calorific but so worth it!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We think it is the journey each of our couples go through. We don't want to be a venue that couples book and then don't see again till one month before when they come to plan - we want our couples to feel part of the family. We do this by various events we invite them to from our planning showcase through to our speech planning evenings for the men.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We are proud of the venue and reputation we have created in only a short time after opening - this is down to our close knit team who are all proud to work at Manor By The Lake and put the customers at the front of everything they do. They are such a good team they have won Team of the Year for the South West two years in a row!
