Description

Stone Barn is situated on a peaceful hill with sweeping views over the glorious Cotswold countryside. This historic building was transformed into a wedding barn by Cripps & Co, a family-run business that has nearly 30 years experience in creating weddings. The barn is located between Burford and Northleach on the Gloucestershire-Oxfordshire border. Stone Barn’s generous interior is enhanced by flagstone floors, a huge open fireplace, and wooden beams. It is an idyllic setting for a ceremony during the day and is transformed into a dance floor for the evening. This barn can hold up to 120 guests for a ceremony or 250 guests for your evening reception. Our adjoining Dutch barns have elegantly arched ceilings, beautiful corrugated iron roofs and sweeping views over the surrounding landscape. This split level space is set up for post-ceremony drinks at the gallery bar and wedding feasts down below. A large, open terrace has roaring fire pits to keep guests warm. The Dutch Barns can hold up to 194 seated guests. A wooden shelter in the Stone Barn grounds provides an idyllic spot for outdoor ceremonies in the summer, with views across the surrounding hills. Our in-house chefs design a personal menu and flame-grill food on a giant indoor BBQ (believed to be the biggest in the UK!) and rotisserie. We buy the best, cook it simply and serve it generously. An on-site team provides an exceptional service and can help with everything from the big ideas to the last minute details.

From the first time we stepped inside Stone Barn we fell in love with the place and were blown away by the service we received. From start to finish they made wedding planning so stress free and seamless, and because of their hard work we were able to have the elegant, chilled out, fun, happy day of our dreams. We've had so many compliments from our guests about the beautiful location, helpful staff and the delicious food. "The most incredible venue", "wow" and "the best wedding food we've ever had" are things we've heard more than once. Clayton, the manager, and his team were exceptional - there whenever we needed them and super attentive, it felt like nothing was too much trouble. Looking back, there is truly nothing we'd change about our Big Day and that's in no small part down to Stone Barn, their staff, their food and the venue's unsurpassed atmosphere. As soon as I see this venue I knew it was the perfect one. We planned the wedding in 12 weeks and both Cara and Nikki were amazing. The day ran so smoothly couldn't fault the staff and the food was lush! We got married 19.10.17 so used the venue to its full potential using the fire for the ceremony and fire pits for roasting marshmallows. Can't wait to see my professional photos. Thank you for making our wedding day perfect. From the first time we stepped inside Stone Barn, to our big day itself, you could not have been more professional but most importantly welcoming. A special mention to Clayton and Flora who helped us decide that we couldn’t imagine having our reception anywhere else, and Jason and Nikki who were a delight leading up to our wedding and, of course, amazing on the day itself. Nothing was ever too much trouble. After our wedding Rob asked me if there was anything I would change. We honestly said no from the bottom of our hearts. This is in large part down to all of you, the amazing team you are and the time and effort you have put in to sourcing suppliers who are just as amazing. Pia at Vanilla Pod Bakery and Beth at Go Wild Flowers were brilliant. Thank you for making our wedding day perfect. I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help and support last weekend. Your organisation of the whole event was amazing and all your colleagues were very calm and attentive, particularly Clayton who was our event manager on the day. He was really helpful and sorted out any of our queries no matter how small they were. The venue and atmosphere was exactly what Hannah and Mark had hoped for. Our food was perfect and really high quality. I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help and support last weekend. Wow, what can we say! This venue is simply stunning and the staff, the food and the atmosphere that comes with it are amazing. From the very beginning Stone Barn was the perfect choice for us and the team there have been incredibly helpful. We had the most beautiful wedding and all of our guests completely fell in love with the venue and the surrounding area and we cannot thank you enough for making our day as fantastic as it was. Incredible wedding dayIncredible wedding day
We had an incredible wedding day at Stone Barn last weekend. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and ensured everything ran totally smoothly. Our guests loved the canapés and the meal - there was loads and it was all delicious! The venue was absolutely beautiful. If you’re in two minds about the venue, try visiting it in the dark as well as the day, because it’s just stunning in the evening, with the ceiling lights and fire pits adding that something special. The venue were also really helpful with suggestions for suppliers and things to include. We loved absolutely everything about the venue and day! We had an incredible wedding day at Stone Barn last weekend. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and ensured everything ran totally smoothly.
