Description

Steeped in history, this Grade II* stately home is full of beautiful period features such as ornate ceilings and stained-glass windows, with award-winning gardens recently filmed for the BBC. Sip Champagne on the cocktail terrace overlooking the ornamental ponds and private deer park, steal a kiss in the rose arbour, explore the walled kitchen garden or wander hand in hand under a canopy of ancient chestnuts. Then make your way to the Edwardian Ballroom for a sumptuous wedding breakfast surrounded by family and friends. Dance the night away, order a cocktail (or two) at our Edwardian Bar, make the most of a balmy Summers’ evening at our Courtyard Bar and then at the end of the night, retire to our magnificent Honeymoon Suite. Summer is a time to enjoy the great outdoors, whilst Winter is a time of romance with roaring log fires and glittering chandeliers. December is a truly magical time for a wedding with the Hall swathed in garlands and Christmas trees in almost every room. The pricing given is for our recommended package which includes venue hire and everything from canapes to the evening menu (details below). Our recommended package includes: A celebratory drinks reception in our Entrance Foyer, Cocktail Lounge and gardens, serving two glasses of Prosecco and four canapes per person. A three-course wedding breakfast with half a bottle of wine per person, coffee and petit fours. Free-flowing bottled mineral water during your wedding breakfast. A glass of Prosecco for the Toast. An evening menu. The honeymoon suite the night of your wedding (B&B). Exclusive use of the Edwardian Ballroom, Bar, Green Room and Courtyard Garden for your wedding breakfast and evening party. Use of our antique silver cake stand and silver knife. Tables dressed with damask linen, Wedgwood china, crystal glassware. Simple place cards, printed menus and table plans. Master of ceremonies. We cannot thank you enough for the incredible service, support, and kindness we received from you, at Swinfen Hall. Not only is the setting stunning, we have received nothing but compliments on the food and your incredible team for whom nothing was too much. You gave us absolute confidence and the best experience imaginable over one of the most significant weekends of our lives! That alongside the sun coming out on queue, an incredible line up of musicians as you mention and the most beautiful bespoke service at St John the Baptist Church just down the road. It truly was the perfect day and best weekend ever! Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. We really feel like we have built a long time love for Swinfen and certainly do hope to see you again soon. Sarah, Stuart and Michael and his team were amazing on Saturday. The day could not have gone any better, we are so pleased we chose Swinfen for Luke and Kathy's big day. Everyone said the food was incredible and service delivered by the waiters and bar staff was friendly and without fault. A massive thank you to all the staff for helping to make Maria’s dream wedding become a reality. From the first time we viewed the venue, nothing was too much trouble…we cannot believe how smoothly everything flowed – the whole experience was amazing. The food for the wedding breakfast was perfect and the service second to none. The venue itself is spectacular with views to die for. We really did have the most amazing day surround by great family and friends in such a beautiful setting.
