Beautiful countryside and immaculate green grounds surround Swynford Manor, and as you walk through its doors, you’ll be enveloped in luxury. From the Bridal Preparation Room to the Garden Room and the terrace, you’ll have exclusive access to this refined venue – and who doesn’t want to play lord and lady of the manor on their special day? Just 20 minutes from Cambridge, Swynford Manor was built in the 1800s and boasts a rich history. Lord Byron was known to stay in the summer, sitting beneath one of the grounds’ trees to write, and King Charles II held his 12-mile horse race on the lane outside. Swynford Manor is full of wonderful surprises. Off of the magnificent monochrome entrance hall you’ll find the Study and the Drawing Room, flexible spaces you can use as you wish. The Study is perfect for ceremonies and can accommodate up to 100. The prime reception space, with room for 50-150 guests, is the Garden Room. Imagine windows for walls, a sparkling checkerboard dancefloor, huge velvet wingback chairs, lights adorned with metallic tassels, and beams that juxtapose contemporary design with the manor’s historic, country roots. From here you’ll look out on the stunning grounds – why not invite your guests to spill out into the sunshine? There’s plenty of space to stay at Swynford Manor too with 13 rooms including the Bridal Suite, which is situated at the top of its own staircase. The suites have striking copper baths, beautiful black carved fireplaces, and huge beds. This is a wedding destination everyone will enjoy... I would just like to say the biggest thank you to everyone who was apart of our day from, the chefs, security, waiters & waitresses to all the lovely ladies who were there in the morning and the night before our wedding. We had an incredible day and it’s thanks to you all and your gorgeous venue. The food was absolutely stunning and you were incredibly accommodating to allergies. Nothing was ever too much trouble and you all were so polite and friendly. Again- thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Love Mr & Mrs Carter I would just like to say the biggest thank you to everyone who was apart of our day from, the chefs, security, waiters & waitresses to all the lovely ladies who were there in the morning and the night before our wedding. Gary and I are so thrilled with the whole wedding day and are so happy that we choose to have it at Swynford Manor. We were both so proud and excited to show our families the venue we had chosen. In our opinion we found the best possible venue for us. Every time we visited you, there was a completely relaxed atmosphere which manages to relax even the most stress out couple. The venue is always beautifully clean and smells wonderful, which was commented on by our guests. Our day couldn't have been more perfect if we had tried. Each and everyone of you made our day the most special any wedding day could be. With extra thanks going to the team and of course the amazing chefs and friendly waiting staff. You all made our day special by being so kind and friendly towards us and our guests. It was an amazing feeling and one we didn't expect going into the evening celebration, we were made to feel so calm, safe and really well looked after. It almost felt like we were celebrating in our own home, this is how comfortable you made us feel. Overnight the night manager was really lovely and friendly towards us and talking to him in the morning, with the lovely comments about our day and family really was the icing on the cake. We wanted you to know and really thank you for the recommendations of suppliers that you give. They were absolutely first class and done us proud, we wouldn't/couldn't have picked anything better. The team at Swynford Manor made our wedding the most wonderful day! Nothing was too much trouble and if we needed anything, we had it instantly. The food was fantastic, the venue looked absolutely stunning. Nice weather was an added bonus as it meant we could go out in to the lovely grounds. The only downside was that the day had to come to an end! Thank you so much to Nicola and team who were there on Saturday for a great day!The team at Swynford Manor made our wedding the most wonderful day! Nothing was too much trouble and if we needed anything, we had it instantly. The food was fantastic, the venue looked absolutely stunning. Our wedding day was the day of our dreams and at our dream venue Swynford - from start to finish the team were amazing and nothing was too much trouble Amazing service, so friendly and accommodating! 5 million stars! Easily one of the best decisions we made to have our wedding day at Swynford Manor! As soon as we walked in on the open evening we knew it was where we wanted to get married, it’s stunning inside! All the staff were great with us and especially Alice - our wedding planner. She was fantastic and really knows her stuff! We are so grateful for all her help leading up to the wedding and on the day itself! We couldn’t fault anything with Swynford at all. Just wish we could do the day all over again, it went so quickly! All our guests were commenting saying how lovely the food was. The rooms are just amazing! And breakfast the next morning was really good. Thank you so much for making our day so special! We just wanted to say a huge Thank You to you both and the entire team at Swynford Manor for making our wedding day so wonderful. We were certainly in good hands with both of you making everything run smoothly on the day, we really appreciated it. It was very special to be able to have an outdoor wedding and make full use of the lovely venue. We couldn't fault anything at all with the venue or the catering and several of our guests commented on the excellent service from the waiting team and on the excellent food too. I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the team for helping our wedding day run smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and the guests keep commenting how nice the venue was and how relaxed the day was to, and lots of guests said the bbq food was amazing and the best bbq food they have had so please thank the cooks for us. You should go into business selling those scotch eggs- they are amazing, lots of guests commented on them at how nice they were. The breakfast and the variety of food was really yummy to, a couple of the guests really needed the fry up due to sore heads after a night of drinking and dancing 😊 Thank you again Mr & Mrs HuntI just wanted to say a big thank you to all the team for helping our wedding day run smoothly.
