The Barn at Cott Farm is a spacious country wedding venue in Somerset. Licensed for civil ceremonies, Cott Farm combines rustic charm with style and comfort. Choose to make your vows outdoors under a picturesque wooden pergola, or within the comfort of the barn.
There’s plenty of outdoor space, which is perfect for garden games and photos with stunning country views. Inside, The Barn comes furnished with handmade tables and wooden chairs, original wooden beams strewn with fairylights and natural flooring. Cott Farm includes exclusive use the day before to give you time to decorate in your own style.
Seating 150 guests, Cott Farm’s packages include daytime and evening food for your guests - from sharing platters to three courses - choose from our suggested dishes, or write your own. In the evening, up to 300 guests can enjoy wood fired pizzas and the fire pit, before staying overnight in luxury furnished bell tents.
Weddings at Cott Farm include:

* The option to bring your own daytime drinks with no corkage charge
* Licensed for indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies
* All furniture (including beautiful bespoke wooden tables and wooden chairs), lighting, heating and luxury toilets. Plus a range of wedding styling props & accessories.
* Three course wedding breakfast for up to 150 guests
* Delicious evening menus for up to 300 guests
* Fully-stocked bar and choose your own entertainment with licence until midnight

Hosts and staff were lovely and accommodating and even offered sun cream due to weather😀. Watching pizzas being cooked outside in the evening just added to the charm of this venue as we sat under sails looking out at the beautiful scenery reflecting on what a fabulous day it was.Attended friend's daughter's wedding yesterday and such a magical venue full of rustic charm. Hosts and staff were lovely and accommodating and even offered sun cream due to weather😀. From start to finish, Becca and Ollie were the most amazing hosts that we could of asked for and nothing was ever too much trouble. All of the food was beautiful, definitely recommend the stone baked pizzas that everyone went crazy for. The venue and views were incredible and it will always leave a special mark in our lives from the first day of married life. The best place we could of ever dreamt of. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Well, I'm biased, but I'd have to say it was our own wedding! My now husband renovated an old barn on his family's farm to use for our wedding reception and that's how The Barn at Cott Farm became a wedding venue.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Work closely with your venue's wedding coordinator and don't try to do everything yourselves. We offer a balance, with us doing the 'boring bits', such as hiring equipment, leaving you to do the fun bits, like flowers.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Ooo, that's a good one. Every wedding we've hosted has featured many beautiful, personal touches. We've had a brass band playing the bride and groom up the aisle to Beyonce's 'Crazy in Love', handmade woollen poms-poms, homemade wedding cakes (including our favourite ever cake), brides and grooms singing live, and tables decorated with greenery foraged from the local hedgerows. I couldn't possibly pick a favourite, but let's just say if I was getting married again, my wedding would more than likely feature a brass band, or a hot air balloon. Or both.

Comfortable. Informal. Pretty. Rural... Amazing!
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We're surrounded by gorgeous countryside, so couples and their photographers take their pick from many fab views.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Not exactly. But watch this space...
What’s your favourite canapé?
Probably our chef's honey and mustard glazed pork sausages. Though I love anything bite sized when drinking bubbly!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Pizza.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Probably our location. Though our outdoor kitchen with wood fired pizza oven is much-admired, and so are our bell tents because we furnish them with proper king-sized beds and mattresses (no easy feat when they are in the middle of the camping field!).
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our team. My husband, Ollie, and I are very much involved throughout each couple's journey from viewing the venue through to clearing away with couples on the Sunday. However, without our fab team of catering and bar staff and our chef, Cott Farm weddings wouldn't be known for great food and service.
