Here at The Kitchen Garden we pride ourselves on offering you a venue that is tailored around exactly what you want from your celebration. An array of brick walls & artwork create a tranquil environment for you to revel in whilst you celebrate a lifetime of happiness together as a married couple. We see our venue as something very special and we want to share it with you and your special occasion. We know you will adore it just as much as we do. Our ethos is creating that once in lifetime event for you with your ideas and desires in mind every step of the way. Maximum capacity of 70 for a seated meal or 120 for a buffet / BBQ or Hog Roast.

If you don't want to be tied down to a typical wedding package we have the option for you to hire the venue and then add on your specific food and drinks requirements separately. The venue hire fee includes all the inside and outside space, your own private bar and all the staff for the evening.

Naomi (Events Manager) answered all our questions promptly and efficiently (both in person and via phone and email) in the run up to the party and took on board all our requests to ensure things ran smoothly on the night. On the evening itself, Naomi and the team worked tirelessly and cheerfully to ensure a great time was had by all. We had many, many lovely comments from our guests about the food, the service and the general 'good vibes' that the venue provides. Naomi and the whole team was simple amazing. They helped us with every detail and they were very generous to make our day extra special! We decided for the buffet provided by the place and the food was super tasty and filling. All our guest were happy with not just the food, but all the range of drinks that were available to a very good price. I think if you are looking to do a casual, fun and unique wedding like ours, you should do it here. They take a very flexible and easy going approach and was open to do things how we wanted them! After dining at the Kitchen Garden Cafe during the day times we was a bit anxious about whether there would be enough room and I can honestly say we had nothing to worry about! The venue was transformed and there was loads of room for seating, the food and most importantly plenty of room to dance! The cost of hiring KGC is very reasonable and worth every penny! We had the best night and made memories we will cherish forever! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We recently held a retro music themed wedding at The Kitchen Garden. The couple used old vinyl as table decorations and table numbers. Each table was named after the couples favourite albums. They spent hours making small lego characters which acted as favours for the guests - each one personalised. The placecards were coasters with the Hollywood Walk of Fame star on the front and each name inside the star (such a clever idea). The room looked absolutely stunning with old spirit bottles full of small lights dotted around the cafe for added sparkle. The guests were dancing to their favourite tunes well into the night. Everyone was overwhelmed with the decor and the general atmosphere on the day - relaxing and informal is just what the couple wanted for their guests.

Ask for help when it comes to planning each little detail whether this be from family & friends or your chosen venue. It's impossible to do it all by yourself and that's why we are here - to make everything that little bit easier :)
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
I really like the idea of bringing a Polaroid camera that prints out pictures straight away - guests can then stick these into a guestbook or within a frame and write a note to the happy couple. You therefore receive extra photos of your day with all your guests in and its helps to fill out the guestbook.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We have an outside arch chair that is absolutely stunning and makes for a great Bride & Groom shot. Its surrounded by plants and a brick wall creating a rustic backdrop.

Chilli & Lime Chicken Skewer with Avocado Dip

I would say the most unique thing about Kitchen Garden is the feel you get when you walk in and the general vibe of the cafe that will leave your guests talking for months after the wedding - Kings Heath's hidden gem!!
