The Loft is a truly unique farm wedding venue suitable for weddings & civil ceremonies for all couples and is located in a beautiful rural and rustic setting deep in the heart of Moray, Scotland. The restored farm buildings offer a versatile venue full of rustic charm that offers a blank canvas for you to create the wedding of your dreams. Our friendly team are on hand to offer as much or as little help as you want with the planning of your day. We can cater for intimate or large weddings and as a family run business we truly understand the importance of every detail and the involvement of friends and family in planning of all aspects of your special day. As we are set on a working farm of 388 acres of arable farmland we have beautiful areas for photographs in woodland and hillside, we are also fortunate to be close to award winning beaches and forests so you will have fantastic photographic opportunities to capture your special day. Your package comes complete with the exclusive use of our glamping wigwam accommodation site for 2 nights (night before & night of wedding) for up to 94 people. This allows family and friends to come together and spend precious time catching up in a relaxed and welcoming environment before the wedding. We are also delighted to offer you access to the venue the day before, giving you plenty of time for you to create your own dream wedding.

The venue itself is beautiful and the staff are just simply amazing. Neither myself or my husband could of asked for better. The day went without a single hiccup. Victoria, Sharon and all of the staff were extremely helpful and patient throughout all of the preparation, and on our wedding weekend. We had several emails and phone calls and they were always happy to help, particularly helping us to work out solutions when we hit ‘bumpy’ bits in our planning! We loved that everything was in the one place, and that our family and friends could stay at the venue for the whole weekend, giving us very precious extra time with people. The wigwams were all very comfortable, and we were even able to treat ourselves to a hot tub on our final night. The venue was fantastic for all of the children that were at our wedding, who had great fun running about and playing at the park. Several of our guests have commented that it was the most relaxed wedding they’ve been at. We also had time to go to Roseisle beach for photos and a paddle which we loved! It was absolutely exactly as we wanted, and I can’t speak highly enough of all of the staff... fabulous location, fabulous people, fabulous venue and a truly blank canvas to create your unique wedding! The reason we chose The Loft was for something laid back, rustic and where we could have everything in one place on one day. The Loft provided this and more. The fact that we could have the venue the day before the wedding to set up how we wanted, and that our guests travelling from a distance could stay in the Wigwams the night before, was absolutely amazing. We had numerous meetings, phone calls and emails to make sure everything was smooth sailing... Even when one of us worried about literally everything and occasionally phoned multiple times a week. Our guests still talk about our wedding being the best they'd been to, how amazing the venue was and how relaxed it all felt. We just adored Victoria, Sharon and team. It was such an amazing day, the loft is such a stunning venue nestled in the wonderful scottish contryside. It has a wonderful atmosphere which suited ourselves and guests amazingly. Neither me or hubby are particularly taken by the strict routines and regimes of a hotel wedding (of which we have attended many) and Victoria was absolutely amazing in helping us create the most relaxed wedding day which many of our guests still compliment us on to this day. We had complete use of the whole venue for the whole day, our ceremony in the loft itself, our meal in the lovely little rustic restaurant - the food was delicious by the way - and our evening do (which was in part a ceilidh!) in the 'cowshed' which held all of our 150ish evening guests with plenty of room to spare. We even spent our wedding night in one of the sites wigwams which was brilliant in itself. All in all I haven't attended another wedding that was so wonderful before or since then and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a venue, the loft and all of its staff are amazing! They made everything so easy for us and even when an extra guest just turned up on the day they took full control and just told me to relax and not worry it wasn't a big deal! They were so fun to plan with and made so much effort on the day for us! Even in the smallest of details even when we go to the loft now after three years they make such a lovely effort to speak! It was just the most perfect day, from start to finish. Victoria, Sharon and your team did the girls proud. Everyone commented on the venue, how beautiful it was, how attentive the staff were and the amazing breakfast. Everyone loved it so much, they did not want to leave. Well, what can I say. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Although we have had quite a few great weddings, the one that sticks in my mind is the couple that chose to go off cue completely to the traditional food choice and went with curry & rice which turned out to be the most talked about wedding food there is. The couple wanted it to be relaxed, informal and a family affair and it was just great to be part of such a laid back feel good wedding.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always visit a few 'different' kinds of venues to make sure you are really looking for what you want, and when you get that feeling in the pit of your stomach then you know its right for you.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We had a bride who was obsessed with Highland cows and unbeknown to the bride her mother had secretly arranged for a highland calf to be onsite after the ceremony. The happy couple went off to have some wedding pictures done and were totally shocked and surprised to see the calf, I can honestly say the look on the brides face was one of utter elation and was truly worth a thousand words. So you see nothing is impossible :-)

We have quite a few different areas to choose from but my personal favourite is by the old mill water wheel.

Cucumber Bites with Herb Cream Cheese and Cherry tomato.

Cheese & crackers.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
We include an exclusive 2 night hire of our glamping accommodation site which means that friends and family can travel from far and wide and all get together the night before or the night after the wedding for a bbq or just a chill out catch up time together.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
All of our staff members that are involved in the lead up to and also on the big day as nothing is too much trouble for them and they endeavour to make the wedding day as relaxed, laid back, stress free as they possibly can, all this with a great smile on their faces.
