Description
Celebrating the total renovation of this magnificent Grade II listed, thatched barn in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside, we can offer tradition, tranquillity and a totally unique for your wedding receptions.
The barn itself is beautiful with original 400 year old oak beams spanning the width of the building and emphasising the enormous vaulted, beamed roof, all adorned with fairy lights. The glazed oak entrance allows light to flood in whilst the slotted windows are all subtly glazed. We have even had a bar built from timbers taken from the roof that needed replacing! To top it all the stunning thatched roof, which keeps the barn cool in the summer, makes this a truly magical venue.
Set on a working farm, the Heritage award winning barn is situated beside crops of wheat, beans, lavender, wild flowers and daffodils, all providing a splendid backdrop for photographs, depending on the time of year you visit.
Our modern facilities include a fully fitted kitchen, licensed bar and car parking.

- MMercedes & Josh05/11/2018The best day of my life!The best day of my life!I got married on 14/04/18 and had my reception at the thatched barn in Yelling. It was incredible, luckily the weather held out for us so that we could make full use of the thatched barns beautiful outside space and patio as well. Sanchia was a perfect host and made every element of the day run smoothly. She helped massively with providing suggestions for catering/music/florist/everything you need for a wedding! Couldn’t recommend this place enough especially if you want that countryside wedding feel, then this is the place for you! Our wedding day on 8th July was one to remember and the barn really is the perfect setting. Sanchia was born to host weddings - she was fully on board with our ideas and plans to have a glowstick rave! And on the day Sanchia and her team worked really hard to make sure it all went smoothly. She gently and suggested ideas, improvements and worked with our groomsmen and photographer to ensure that things on the day were in control and sticking to schedule - which meant that my husband and I could fully enjoy the day! The venue was phenomenal, you were phenomenal, the staff were phenomenal and it was just the most perfect day. Walking around outside in the snow trying to get Clara to go to sleep was beyond the call of duty, but made the world of difference to us! We are so grateful. The barn was the perfect venue for our perfect day. Many guests commented on the beautiful setting, we cant recommend you highly enough.
