Description

Built in 1911, the Worthing Dome, a Grade II* listed building situated on the Sussex coastline, is a rich example of Edwardian architecture, typical of the coastal town entertainment complexes of the time and one of the last of its kind still standing. Still a working cinema, the building houses 2 unique spaces for both ceremony and reception. The Main Lounge is a large traditional space with room up to 190. The Whispering Gallery is a mezzanine room with a capacity of 85. There are options to suit most budgets with the Worthing Dome perfect for both intimate and large scale ceremonies and receptions. Both Rooms have stunning views overlooking the sea and are beautiful light spaces with the Worthing Dome’s large south facing balcony running the width of the building and overlooking the beach. There is promenade a stone’s throw away and the Pier is a favourite for couples to have their wedding photos. All catering is provided by the in-house team, focusing on well executed, fresh food sourced from local suppliers. There is a range of menus to choose from including 2, 3 & 4-course wedding breakfasts. Occasionally clients come to us with their own ideas for their first meal as husband and wife and the chefs at the Worthing Dome welcome couples’ ideas and inspirations. The Event team are seasoned wedding professional with over 20 years’ experience and will work closely from start to finish to help create a very individual day.

A blank canvas for an amazing price A blank canvas for an amazing price
Despite being from London as we chose to have our wedding in the dome at Worthing, we were mainly drawn in by the amazing mid week deals which really suited our budget. The range of packages and add ons is really varied with a price and a theme to suit everyone. We chose a mid-week package with a two course meal with a bbq and I must say it was fantastic. The food was declious and such high quality, everyone commented on how great it was. The venue it’s self is bright and unique, it’s a real blank canvas to do what you want with - which was a huge plus to us. We decorated the whole place to our theme and we loved it. The wedding co-ordinators (not sure the right word!) were fantastic on the day, helped everything run smoothly, pulled everything off and even dealt with my stress mum. The only criticism would be that we did feel That after we paid the full amount off it was suddenly as though our wedding was more important to the venue, rather than it always being important. That said, I appreciate the co-ordinators are very busy with many weddings to handle at any given time. Overall, we love this venue. The space and layout were fantastic. The food was fantastic. The staff and planners/coordinators were fantastic. We would recommend The Dome to anyone and would certainly get married there again! We had our wedding here on 25th May. All throughout the run up of the wedding James, Robert and their team were very helpful and always on hand if we had any enquiries or wanted to visit the venue again. We could not fault their customer service, whatsoever. On our wedding day, it was even better! The staff were so helpful, so accommodating and we had the absolute best, most perfect and magical day we could have imagined. The dome is a beautiful venue. We did not need many decorations as the venue is so picturesque in itself. We had our wedding up in the whispering gallery and had some fantastic photos, then went down into the atrium bar for more photos etc. until we went down to the main lounge for our reception and wedding food. The food was absolutely incredible, all of our guests commented on how good the food was and how beautiful and perfect the venue was also! The photos we had throughout the whole venue (including in front of the dome when I arrived and on the balcony) are perfect, even more so due to the beautiful venue. We highly recommed the dome, James, Robert and their team. If you want fantastic customer service and responses extremely quick and the most beautiful and affordable seaside venue then the dome and James are the ones.
