With over 200 years steeped in tradition, the Mansion House is the striking centrepiece to Edinburgh Zoo. If you are looking for somewhere not only unique and inspiring, but also boasting elegant surroundings, delicious food and exceptional service for your big day, the Mansion House is the perfect venue.
The stunning MacMillan room provides a breath-taking backdrop for your ceremony, looking out over the Zoo’s stunning gardens, the city of Edinburgh and across to the Pentland hills. With a colour palette of Wedgewood blues and a fabulous period fireplace, this room will add a touch of grandeur to your day.
After the ceremony, join us in our magnificent oak panelled Geddes and Gillespie suite. From this room, you will have direct access to our beautiful Mansion House gardens where you can enjoy the breath-taking scenery and panoramic views.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from planning to clearing the venue was just a delight with the help of the team. Our guests have also made comments that they loved the stunning venue, and the food was raved about with comments such as being very tasty, served warm and efficiently. And having the use of the whole house was brilliant, this ensured no where was too busy once the evening guests arrived. I would most definitely recommend the Mansion house as a venue. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making our day as perfect as it was. It was like a fairytale and a dream come true. Every single one of our guests had a wonderful day and we feel so lucky that we chose your venue. You have been absolutely brilliant, as was Darren and the other male event's manager (whose name has completely slipped my mind!) if there is a way for me to pass this on to your manager or formally pass on my delight with all of you please let me know as I would like you all to get the praise and recognition you deserve. We can't thank you all enough! We've had no formal photos back yet, but as soon as they are in we will pass them on and will be delighted for you to use any of them. We will certainly be back at The Zoo and look forward to seeing you and speaking to you soon. Thanks to yourself for making the lead-in easy and pass on our thanks to Darren and Alan for executing the day smoothly. The meal was good. For myself the tartlet was a bit lacking in Brie so a bit dry. I really enjoyed the rest of the meal. All our guests had a great time, even my Dad, so that is praise itself! We will forward some of our pictures once we receive them as neither of us took any on the day. It was a wonderful day in a spectacular setting and must have taken a lot of hard work from a lot of people. I would like to say particular thanks to Alan, ( for sorting out the cake for me), and to Darren and Taylor for generally helping me out, but especially for their encouragement and help in preparing a special little surprise for the bride on her wedding morning. It made a special day even more special. Thanks so much to all.
