Description

There are few wedding venues in Edinburgh promising such a range of choice. Step through the 160-year-old Georgian archway at the entrance to the hotel, once home to the Lady Glenorchy Church, and instantly pass into a bright and contemporary space. Combined with the rooftop garden, and different rooms and pergolas to undertake your vows, and you have one of the most unique and flexible wedding venues in the city. As a fully licenced venue, we can host your wedding ceremony, not just the party. We are able to offer a variety of options for your wedding ceremony in Edinburgh. Our two-acre roof garden is a popular choice. Guests can gather on our green lawn and watch you exchange vows under our flower-decked pergola, or you can tie the knot in more intimate settings on a terrace overlooking the garden. Our stylish indoor spaces are also available, including the Observatory room and the Henderson Gallery, which is popular because of the original windows of the former church out of which The Glasshouse Hotel was created. Ceremonies are available as part of a full wedding package, or as a standalone service. Once the formal part of your day is completed with the making of your vows, celebrate the start of married life at The Glasshouse with a luxury wedding reception. We can work with you to ensure that every detail, from tablecloths to dining choices, are delivered to your exacting standards, from a seated wedding breakfast for 80 to an evening buffet reception for 110.

Exactly what we hoped for and moreExactly what we hoped for and more
Our wedding at the Glasshouse was perfect from start to finish! the weather was great, amazing food and we could not have asked for more! Natalie had been in contact with my parents to arrange a few surprises throughout the day - My dad being the biggest one! He was not going to be able to make our wedding due to working overseas but was just there on the day (very teary moment) Natalie was a dream to deal with, nothing was too much trouble for her. Everything was seamless on the day, my only complaint was that the day went too quickly! Amazing VenueAmazing Venue
Andrew and I chose the glasshouse for our wedding venue, we loved the church front but the garden was the biggest deal breaker for us! Living in Scotland you can never pick the weather, we had a rainy start to the day, but managed to have our ceremony outside and the sun came out just as we were walking back down the aisle! The food was delicious, the evening band were great (think her name was Amy) so happy we booked the glasshouse. The staff were so helpful leading up to our big day and on the day! Andrew and I chose the glasshouse for our wedding venue, we loved the church front but the garden was the biggest deal breaker for us! Our Daughter chose to get married at the glasshouse. My husband and I had spoken to Natalie by emails leading up to the big day. We only met her the day before the wedding (as we live in London) Natalie was a pleasure to deal with, she had everything under control, everything was covered, all we had to do was turn up. The day ran perfectly from start to finish our guests enjoyed the food and dancing, although there were a few fuzzy heads the next morning at breakfast! This is a very unique venue in the heart of Edinburgh. Our Daughter chose to get married at the glasshouse. My husband and I had spoken to Natalie by emails leading up to the big day. Best New Years!!Best New Years!!
Friends of ours got married on 1st Jan at The Glasshouse, so we chose to celebrate New Years in Edinburgh. The hotel staff are so friendly, we really enjoyed our Suite. The garden is spectacular! The wedding was just perfect, the ceremony was finished with a warm glass of cider or mulled wine instead of the typical champagne. Everything from place settings, menus etc was a little bit different and did not go unnoticed. Simon and I cannot thank the team enough for making our day so special! Even though the weather was not kind to us, it certainly didnt put a damper on our day! We had our reception in The Observatory and our wedding breakfast and reception upstairs in the Garden suite. Every detail was just perfect. A huge thank you to Natalie for making our day everything we ever dreamed of. Simon and I cannot thank the team enough for making our day so special! We chose to get married as close to Valentines Day as we could. The Glasshouse is a beautiful venue and was exactly what we were looking for. Sandra & I had the ceremony in the Gallery, and we wanted to have an afternoon tea style of meal. Natalie and the chef were so accommodating and created a menu for our special day. Looking forward to coming back for our anniversary Shirley & Sandra xx We chose to get married as close to Valentines Day as we could. Staff on the day were great, they could not do enough to help our guests while we were getting photos taken (which took a bit longer due to the rain!) Apart from the weather, our day was great, the carlton suite has beautiful views and the meal was lovely.
