The Mercure Norton Grange Hotel is a truly delightful setting for your wedding. The hotel benefits from a stunning countryside setting with outstanding views over the Pennine Hills and landscaped grounds, which provide perfect backdrops for your cherished photographs. While located in a beautiful rural location, the hotel is just eight miles from Manchester’s vibrant city centre.
The hotel is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships and has a number of function spaces to accommodate your celebrations. The Hopwood Suite has its own private patio, while the Grange Suite boasts stunning original features and beautiful views of the Pennines.
Everyone has their own vision for their big day and we want you to have everything you wish for your dream wedding. From small, intimate occasions to large, lavish celebrations, you can design your day, your way. Your very own wedding co-ordinator will be on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
When your big day comes to an end, we have a fantastic selection of rooms to accommodate you and your guests. Each and every one of the 81 stylish rooms within the hotel provides the perfect retreat for your overnight guests, who can enjoy accommodation at special discounted rates.
For you, the happy couple, we offer a complimentary privilege bedroom to spend your first night of married life. You could also choose to upgrade to our gorgeous Bridal Suite which comes complete with its own lounge area, luxurious king size bed, separate bath and double shower.

Now where do I start the room looked amazing, the buffet was lovely they served a variety of food to suit all ages. The lady Jodie who was leading the venue on the night went out of her way to make sure that everyone in the function was looked after, she even fitted in more seating for us so we could all sit together and not on different tables. She made us feel so special and nothing was too much trouble. She sorted everything and made sure it went off without a hitch! She is a credit to the hotel! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We held a wedding recently that had a live singer and entertainer through the wedding breakfast, he really livened up the experience and provided a lot of laughs to all the guests.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make sure you visit your local Registry Office and provisionally book a time with the registrar's, prime times go very quickly, even 2 years ahead!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A lot of our guests have memory tables/ladders for the guests that that cannot make the wedding. I think this is a lovely heart warming touch

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We have recently constructed a large decking area overlooking the field and countryside, this will show off stunning landscapes and sunsets
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We have had a few reality stars that stay here, some have attended weddings. The most memorable would be Shayne Ward who attended a family event held here.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Definitely the salmon and cream cheese roulade!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Pepperoni Pizza!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The Grange Suite has the old original stonework from when the Hotel was built, with large windows all along the side this shows the stunning views of the lawns.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Currently our decking platform we have constructed, this will really wow your guests and perfect for those photo opportunities
