Tapton Hall is an architectural gem tucked away in a leafy suburb of Sheffield, yet close to main roads for easy access for your guests. It is a beautiful and historic location, ideal for civil ceremonies, wedding receptions and of course the all important photos. We have a small, friendly team always on hand to attend to all your needs, plus a wide variety of different sized rooms to suit any requirements. You can choose from a large selection of packages and deals to suit every budget, with delicious and tempting menus on offer, or alternatively tailor-make selections to your own specification. Best day of our livesBest day of our lives
From the day we first chose to have tapton hall as a venue we knew we'd made the perfect choice. We were happy and confidant with how well all our requests were dealt with and how great the team were there. When the day came everything went smoothly, the food was delicious and the staff were great and very helpful with the mother of the groom who is disabled. Couldn't fault the day. "We had our wedding at Tapton Hall just over a week ago and I cannot recommend it enough. We all had a fantastic day. Even the rain couldn't spoil it as there is so much scope inside Tapton Hall for some amazing wedding photos. All of our guests commented on what a fabulous venue it was. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious and everyone had such a lovely time. My husband and I had our wedding here in June and cannot praise it highly enough. The day went without a hitch and the staff couldn't do enough for us. My husband and I had our wedding here in June and cannot praise it highly enough. The day went without a hitch and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Due to us and the photographer being super organised it meant we finished our photos earlier than planned, which meant we were back indoors quicker than expected. Unlike other weddings I had been too they quickly arranged it that we could go into our room earlier than expected. We had the large function room along with the bar area which meant our quests could choose between the party side or the quite section away from DJ. The additional bar area also meant there was plenty of room for the children to play (and we had plenty) without them getting 'under peoples feet'. To keep the children entertained I also purchased several children's toys, art supplies and glow sticks which I intended to put in a large wash basket. However the wedding coordinator arranged for them to be laid out on a table and they looked amazing. The kids loved it!! The best part of all .... The food ,,, our quests are still taking about this 3 weeks on. They couldn't believe what they received. We opted for a BBQ style which went down a treat and the burgers/sausages were excellent quality. It truly surpassed anything we could have thought up. We also opted for bacon sandwiches at midnight and again the quality was fabulous, unlike some I've again had before there was plenty of bacon in there and the bread rolls were ultra soft and tasted so fresh. The remaining quests were over the moon. A lovely unexpected benefit to us was that the buffet and bacon butties were opened by myself and my husband. Meaning we were the only ones in there was, we were able to get our food, and to sit down whilst the guest went through for their. By doing this it meant that both of us were able to eat uninterrupted and actually eat unlike our engagement party. The venue was also able to cater for our gluten free relative and our unusual onion allergy. With onions been in most foods either fresh, dried or powdered the head chef ensure our quest could eat almost everything on the menu which again didn't go unnoticed. The drinks prices at the venue are also extremely competitive unlike hotels, again this was noted by our quests. A final thank you must be to the head chef for his flexibility and amazing food and finally to Becki the coordinator. During the initial day/night part if Becki saw I had been handed a card/gift she took it from me and placed it where it needed to be to save me carrying it round. Tapton Hall was the venue for our wedding on 5th May 2018 We had the ceremony in the Portrait Gallery and the Wedding Breakfast in the Endcliffe Room The Wedding Planner Becki was fantastic helping us plan our special day we cannot recommend this venue and its staff more highly!! My son got married in September and they chose Tapton Hall for their reception venue.The staff at Tapton were very helpful from start to finish and couldn't do enough for them. The venue is lovely with plenty of parking and the interior throughout is exceptional. The meal and the service was first class and my son and his wife speak very highly of all aspects of the place. We also received numerous positive comments from both the daytime and nighttime guests. All of us would recommend Tapton Hall as a great place to hold a celebration.My son got married in September and they chose Tapton Hall for their reception venue.The staff at Tapton were very helpful from start to finish and couldn't do enough for them. Your staff have been friendly, helpful and flexible throughout the whole process, making this a great 'pilot' experience for us. Our learners were thrilled with the proximity to the local hospital and school (needed for the training), the parking, the grounds, and the lovely hall itself. The food was delicious and plentiful, the setting to eat lunch was divine. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

They all have had elements that stand out from emotional ceremonies, Christmas weddings with a hot chocolate drinks reception whilst hand bell ringers entertained the guests, singing waiters that joined our team to serve food and then burst into song during dessert - (oh and they turned the groom and his ushers into a boy band!) and a bride being piped into the ceremony. Not mention all our lovely couples and hilarious best man speeches!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Date night! Make sure you have one night a week where you have a nice supper at home or go out to the cinema ... but one night a week where you don't talk about the wedding.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

The seating plan at one wedding we hosted had pictures of each guest with the bride/groom some from childhood others from nights out on the back there was their table number and a message from the couple.
