The Venue: The Bull Hotel is a unique 600 year old coaching inn situated in the charming village of historic Wrotham, Kent. The Bull boasts charm and character which creates the perfect venue for intimate and bespoke weddings. Our delightfully restored 14th Century Buttery provides an ambient setting for the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. The Ceremony: We are very excited to launch our new outdoor licensed wedding venue, The Courtyard. The Courtyard is an outdoor ceremony space with a stunning fern backdrop - a romantic and intimate setting which is extremely versatile. The Bull also offers The Buttery, a historic barn style building full of charm and character, with exposed beams and original stone walls. The Buttery flows out onto the veranda and Courtyard; where guests can enjoy reception drinks after the ceremony with a stunning backdrop ideal for photographs. The Buttery and The Courtyard are blank canvases where couples find the freedom to dress and decorate according to their own personal style and vision. Each wedding here is unique and personal. Our coordinators work closely with the couples to tailor an individual and personalised day. The wedding team are passionate about every part of the planning process from the first visit through to the big day itself. Our eleven newly refurbished boutique bedrooms are spacious and light with original features. The stylish Bridal Suite is a wonderful space for the bridal party to relax, pamper and prepare for the day ahead. Award Winning Food: The Bull offers delicious award winning food, fine wines and a welcoming and friendly service. The wedding menus are carefully designed by our Michelin accredited kitchen team. We offer a roast dinner as our traditional wedding breakfast but we also offer a barbecue-style smokehouse meal for the unorthodox!

The Buttery Wedding from £6,750 Up to 50 day-guests and 100 evening-guests This package has been designed to allow the couple to express their individuality, whilst providing all the award winning elements for which The Bull is well known. The Festival Wedding from £12,000 Up to 100 guests This laid back summer wedding is new for 2020! This package is perfect for those who love to dial up the celebration with food trucks, sweet treats and an outside party. The Pub Wedding from £11,000 Up to 75 day-guests The cosy package allows couples to relax with hearty roasts, warm atmosphere and log fires. Perfect for those who want more of an informal celebration. The Tiny Wedding from £1,500 Up to 12 guests If you prefer not to have the fuss and frills of a big reception but would like to celebrate with just a select few this is the perfect package for a more intimate wedding reception.

Jim and I met in 2003 and 14 years later we married! To say we like to take easy is an understatement! Once we decided on this, the next decision to make was where to do the do! On one regular Saturday evening Jim and I went for dinner at our wonderfully warm, friendly and Local Hotel, The Bull at Wrotham and right there out of the blue Jim asked me to marry him. After saying "what?' and "why?", I then said "Yes". It would seem to be the natural progression to get married at that very same venue, and oh Lordy are we glad we did. As we had been together for so long , we wanted a relaxed and laid back affair with as little pomp and ceremony as possible- and thats exactly what we got. Our day really couldn't have been better - the staff made it so easy for us to just sit back and enjoy the day. Elaine and all the team at The Bull could not have done more to ensure that our day was as special and as memorable as could possibly be. We had friends and family telling us all day that this was the best wedding they had ever been to- including their own family weddings! Compliments indeed! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly, engaging, fun and very professional. Our wedding experience at the The Bull Hotel was truly magical. Michael and I met on match.com in May 2014. As Michael so eloquently put in his speech "lucky for Sarah she lived within my 5 miles maximum radius or we would not be celebrating here today". After almost 2 years Michael proposed on December 6th with a beautiful engagement ring inside my advent calendar. A day I will never forget. We booked our wedding date with The Bull later that month. We had such a warm reception from The Bull staff at each meeting - from our first viewing to sleepy thank yous the day after the wedding. We used some companies recommended by The Bull for the wedding essentials (e.g. Esta's Chair Covers) and sourced others (e.g. Ab Fab London Events, Adele Hudgell Floristry, IMMI Photography, Ceilidh Tree and Ruby Velvet Artistry). Thankfully Leigh-Anne and Elaine were able to work so well with every company. We wanted our day to have some fairly unique elements with lots of personal touches - Leigh-Anne, Elaine and their team enabled this vision to become a reality. One of the main reasons that we chose The Bull was the food. Every person that we have spoken to since the wedding has commented on the superb quality of the food and the generous portion sizes. The guests with more specific dietary requirements we catered for beautifully. We had all 11 rooms the night of the wedding. We found the rooms to be spacious and comfortable. The truly amazing thing about the day was the amount of work that went on behind the scenes that we know was crucial to the day's success. My mother & father in laws wedding was held at the Bull on 11th March, The Bull was the first venue we visited and we knew straight away this was the right place for them to hold there wedding. We cannot thank Hannah and all the staff, for a wonderful day & evening. Nothing was to much trouble, Hannah was so helpful in helping organise the day/evening, she understood how we wanted the restaurant and venue to look and made sure that all are guested were looked after. All our guest said how much they enjoyed themselves, they loved the venue/food & service and all said how friendly the staff are. We booked all the rooms and everyone said how comfortable they are, we also all enjoyed the breakfast service & food in the morning. Thank you once again for a wonderful Wedding.My mother & father in laws wedding was held at the Bull on 11th March, The Bull was the first venue we visited and we knew straight away this was the right place for them to hold there wedding. David and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful Buttery at the Bull Hotel on Thursday 3rd August 2017. We fell in love with the venue - the flooring, the beams, the intimate location and the fact that we could make it our own! From the outset all of the staff were very helpful, often going above and beyond to make sure that our day went as we wanted it to. Hannah helped us in the beginning and then nearer the time Leigh Anne met with us and organised all the specifics. Leigh Anne was amazing, she gave us everything that we needed and ensured that our day was exactly as we'd envisaged. The food, as always, was spectacular and all the guests commented on this. Finally, at the end when one of our bridesmaids and her partner had been waiting on a taxi for 30 minutes one of the bar staff actually drove them to their hotel himself - a true testament to how dedicated the staff were to making our special day perfect. We can't thank you enough and will definitely be back in the near future for some more beautiful food.
