We do many events here at the barn but weddings...they're our 'thing'. We are pretty lucky to have such a professional team of chefs as our in-house caterers but we are also fairly confident that, having done a few, we know how to put on a good wedding. We listen, we sit down and talk and we are really passionate about getting it right - for you. Every wedding is different and that's what keeps us alive.
The Tythe Barn provides you with a blank canvas upon which you can create the wedding day of your dreams. Corny? Okay, but it's true and we are a small, friendly and dedicated team who are here to help you every step of the way. Arrive with us in the morning and do the whole thing in one place, ceremony - indoor or outdoor, food - whatever you want and party - a civilised affair or a rave. The choice is yours. Look, we've even created a unique and exciting place for the bride and groom to stay over...if you can't bring yourselves to leave!

The food was amazing with many saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. All the staff were friendly and efficient I managed to speak to the lady who was in charge who was very warm and friendly. In particular there was a member of staff called Alison , she was fantastic not only did she engage with guests she was always busy doing something it was so nice to meet a staff member who not only looked liked she was enjoying her job but enjoyed the atmosphere of the day. From the moment we booked a date with you nearly two years ago (and Paul's dad cried at the sight of the barn - it was just so right!) to the end of our wedding, you have been fantastic. You have been available, organised and a pleasure to work with throughout and when it came to the day itself, despite the initial bad weather, the barn looked fantastic and you were so willing to accommodate all our personal touches! We had the best time and we felt supported and taken care of through every part of our big day. From the oldy-worldy feel of the thatched barn and stone walling in its countryside setting, to the delightful courtyard with its wisteria pergola and beautifully pruned London Plane Trees, and the glass fronted Cow Shed, everything fit together to make something unique and wonderful that just suited our style. The team understood from the word go the kind of celebration we wanted to create. They had real attention to detail which helped us to relax and enjoy the day to the full. When we booked the venue, we were a little uncertain as to what the food would be like. Not everyone has such high standards as us so we didn’t know if we could trust the reviews. We loved the venue so went with it, but it wasn’t until we had the tasting, which blew us away, that we knew that we could relax as everything was so fresh, well cooked, and tasted and looked amazing. On the day of our Wedding, one of our closest friends, a former Head Pastry Chef, said he could happily eat that meal every day for the rest of his life – an accolade indeed! What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
When a bride showed her mum and Grandma her positive pregnancy test from that morning - and they all stood and weeped with joy in our gardens!
