COVID 19 announcement: We are in uncertain times, not only us, but the world. The one good thing that has come out of this awful situation is the show of love and support through communities and each other. As always, love will prevail. Weddings are a celebration of love, and we at The Woodman Inn are lucky enough to witness and share these special days with our couples. We thank our Bride and Grooms, our suppliers & our team for supporting us through these turbulent times. The Woodman Inn is temporarily closed, but one thing is for sure; we will re-open, and when we do, we are going to party, celebrate & love, more so than we have ever done before. Stay safe out there. Lots of love, Jordan and The Woodman Inn Team Set in the centre of a historic hamlet, nestled within the foothills of Yorkshire’s South Pennines, our beautifully refurbished 18th century country inn offers superb food, a stunning setting for your photographs, impeccable service and unrivalled attention to every detail. We also offer Weddings in our new part of the venue - Thunderbridge Gardens, where we have a gorgeous glass marquee set in woodland with an adjoining Orangery reception area. This is set in its own private part of the venue and feels very much an exclusive, peaceful & romantic area. The stunningly beautiful gardens flanked by a lovely stream and woodland really does create a gorgeous setting for a wedding. The tranquil hamlet of Thunderbridge is rich in history, plentiful with wildlife, and such a peaceful woodland location that you might just be joined on your special day by the local deer, a fox or badger. Known by the locals as “God’s own county,” you and your guests will enjoy complete privacy in this rustic haven of unspoilt Yorkshire countryside. This idyllic location truly is the perfect setting for the most romantic of weddings.

Faultless Service with Wonderful FoodFaultless Service with Wonderful Food
Just a quick email to thank you, the service staff and the kitchen staff for a faultless service with wonderful food for our wedding last Saturday. Everyone was so lovely and efficient making a big difference to our day. We had a really great day and was so impressed with how everything looked and how it ran so smoothly. We'll send you a picture or tag in instagram when we get the official photos. No doubt we'll see you again sometime when we come through for lunch. Oh and the CCTV dancefloor footage idea is still a GREAT idea !! Nothing was too much trouble!Nothing was too much trouble!
Well what can we say about the Woodman Inn... it’s simply amazing. We knew straight away it was the perfect venue for us! At every meeting I was instantly put at ease with Jordan, by the end of our day it felt like he was family. After the wedding was over and having time to think about our day, I could never thank Jordan, Dan and the entire team enough. Nothing was too much trouble, I couldn’t believe the amount of prep, help, work and support that was given from Jordan throughout it definitely made our experience even more perfect as I knew he was thinking ahead in every way. Dan was also brilliant and a credit to your team. Again, instantly put at ease and so helpful. We have just got our photos back and wish we could do it all again. Thank you for making our wedding everything we’ve ever wanted! The Wedding Team is a huge credit to the Woodman Inn. We Honestly Can't Thank You EnoughWe Honestly Can't Thank You Enough
We are away on our mini moon at the moment and both can't stop smiling remembering our amazing day. You were incredible all the way through, putting us at ease as soon as we arrived on the Friday, right the way through to kicking us out at closing time on Saturday - you didn’t seem to stop!!! You made our day so special. The room and tables were way better than we both could believe and the way you decorated the cake for us - we really couldn’t be happier. We honestly can’t thank you enough. Please also pass on our thanks to the rest of the team. We can’t wait to come back for dinner some time. As for a review we honestly can’t thank you guys enough. From booking the venue over a yr ago to the actual day, you all have literally been amazing. We especially want to thank Chloe as she just never stopped and went above and beyond on our wedding day. Everything went so well and better than we ever imagined. All the guests haven’t stopped talking about the amazing food and how lovely the venue was. We really were pleased with the running of our wedding. All of the staff at The Woodman are approachable, friendly and helpful. One of the bar staff even helped when my Dad’s car battery was flat on the Friday night. Incredible Talented & Hardworking StaffIncredible Talented & Hardworking Staff
Jordan, Elinor and their team were just fantastic, from first meeting Jordan at a sunny Woodman wedding fayre in June that we came upon by chance on Facebook, to stumbling bleary-eyed to a delicious breakfast the morning after the wedding night, following a lovely stay in the beautiful Woodman suite, they could not have done enough for us! Jordan and Elinor went above and beyond in the 18 month build-up to our wedding day to keep things stress-free and organised and ensure they had every detail in place to ensure the smooth running of the day; which for a wedding 2 days before Christmas is no easy feat. No question was unanswered and they were so quick to respond to all my weird and odd questions.... width of curtain poles!? So many our our guests from the day commented on how friendly, accommodating and incredible the staff working were, the food was exquisite - and I think its safe to say we have earned the Woodman a whole tribe of new foodie fans from Sheffield - we ourselves will be life-long regulars of the Woodman's Sunday lunch, their food is incomparable! The running of the day was smooth and trouble-free, the service spectacular and nothing was too much trouble. Hello Jordan and Chloe Well I’m still high from our amazing weekend at the most complimented woodman best venue and team in Yorkshire with trimmings from stem designs couldn’t have looked more gorgeous x Gary put something on facebook for you also and I just tell everyone I meet that the woodman and it’s staff are amazing. but would like to say once again thank you, for us the day was perfect. We were out with friends last night and they were like everybody else was praising the venue and staff. I don't think the staff could have done a better job. Please feel free to use/share any of Marks photo's should you wish. It was everything we had wished for & more, all down to the fantastic organisation and consideration of the team ❤️ From meeting Jordan for the first time, we felt his professional but radiant & friendly vibe shine through! Nothing was ever too much for him & Elinor from day dot which was very relaxing. The food was outstanding, as commented on by our guests, the venue was a beautiful mixture of rustic class & the company of Jordan, Elinor, Dan & the bar staff made our wedding feel very personal! Hi Chloe and Jordan Well I’m sat here just absorbing it all and seriously that was the best day of my life. You are absolutely wonderful, you made everyone feel comfortable, the room looked stunning, the food was lovely and I couldn’t have pictured it to have been any better.
