Just rude and unhelpful. Just rude and unhelpful.
I've contacted their event team as I was looking for quotes for my wedding. The lady on the phone insisted that I should read on the website, when you know... it's my wedding and I would like to speak to the person that might be coordinating the whole thing. Plus I had questions and I simply wanted to speak to someone for just few minutes. I wish I had a name that I could put here but unfortunately, they never said it. Beside the phone terrible conversation, I've scheduled a meeting at the location so that my fiancee and I could meet someone face to face, talk about the wedding and see the place. The appointment was scheduled in the early afternoon but we were travelling from our house in London so we had to leave way earlier (3 hours to get there). I called them up to confirm that we were on the way, everything was fine until they called me back 30 minutes later to tell me that unfortunately the person that was going to show us around was off sick. Which is fine. I've asked if we could just turn up and have a look around since we were already almost there. We arrived on time, and we turned up in the office. The lady in the office gave us a brochure and told us she couldn't show us around as she had another appointment with someone else ONE HOUR LATER. She had the time to show us around and have a 3 courses meal if we wanted to, plenty of time. My fiancee and I looked at each others and decided not say anything. We just showed ourselves around and then decided to eat at the little restaurant there. The food was really good and the service was really nice. Shame it's not the same one serving for the weddings. We were really considering this venue, but when we saw the lady from the office coming into the restaurant one hour later with another couple we just decided to cross it off from our list. We excluded this venue from our options not only because of the lack of professionalism, politeness and helpfulness but because of the high possibility that our special day could have been ruined by the same people we were paying. We've been searching for venues for long time now, from the cheapest to the most expensive options, but we were NEVER treated as we were treated by this place. The best wedding we could of asked for The best wedding we could of asked for
The people who run and work at Canada Lodge. Are amazing! So helpful and kind, they will help with all sorts. Even on the day of the wedding. We was even taken away from the guests for 15 alone time where my husband and I got to have one of each appetiser, and see the main room all done up before anyone else. It was a magical day and I'd recommend this venue to everyone!! The people who run and work at Canada Lodge. Are amazing! So helpful and kind, they will help with all sorts. Even on the day of the wedding. We was even taken away from the guests for 15 alone time where my husband and I got to have one of each appetiser, and see the main room all done up before anyone else. We got married here last Thursday and it was the best day of our lives! The venue was incredibly beautiful and spotlessly clean, as was all the accommodation! The food catered by Clever Chefs was fantastic quality and great sized portions, everyone was really happy with the canapes, meal and the buffet. Our wedding coordinators Paige and Hollie couldn't do enough for us on the day and with the run up to the wedding. They also helped us calm our nerves before walking down the aisle (thanks girls), they both ensured the whole day ran smoothly and without a hitch and made the whole occasion perfect in every way! Plenty of parking and easy access for all our guests, breakfast at Rhodri's by the lake was included with all the accommodation and it was a great chance for us all to catch up the next morning over a lovely breakfast with a stunning view! 'Had the pleasure of visiting Canada Lodge to celebrate our sons wedding , I can only say everything about this venue is perfect! The scenery and grounds are spectacular! I’d also like to thank the caterers and staff who worked tirelessly throughout the day . We stayed the night and the room was lovely as was the breakfast in Rhodri’s cafe the following morning''Had the pleasure of visiting Canada Lodge to celebrate our sons wedding , I can only say everything about this venue is perfect! 'Treated like royalty''Treated like royalty'
Got married at Canada Lake last week, had the best day of my life!! Not only is the venue out of this world, each and every member of staff is perfect. Before, during and after. Honestly you are treated like royalty! Nothing is too much trouble! Our caterer was Clever Chef. I would like to mention Kayley, she is such a wonderful person!! I love her to bits, always checking to see if me and my husband were ok, did we need anything etc etc. Making sure all guests were where they should be so they wouldn't miss out. Thank you so much to you!!! Made our day easy as we did have a clue what we were doing! Thank you Canada Lake and Lodge!!
