Description

We do not offer packages of any description, everything is bespoke and most importantly friendly and of course professional. We are technically aware so if you want a socially distanced Celebration where those who cannot physically attend can engage online then we can help. We want to hear your plans and your story, it's always great to have a chat. Each month we receive hundreds of requests for packages and brochures from people who have not understood we are not a hotel, we actually offer our home because we enjoy it. Please do get in touch with a view to having a chat before coming to see us.

In these times of Social Distancing we are able to offer a digital element for those couples seeking an intimate Celebration mindful that some Guests may want to attend "Virtually" We don't have a "Manager" here, as the owners we will look after you personally. This is our home, if you read the reviews you will see we get it right. In our grounds we can have marquees for up to 350 guests with internal facilities for a wedding breakfast for up to 48 mature guests.

It would be worth having a chat so we can clarify how different we are from a traditional "Wedding Factory".     Our celebration was exactly as we wanted it. Our catering was amazing and the drinks reasonably priced. This is not a place where you beat them down on price and do everything in a hurry. The entire process was enjoyable and relaxed and for 120 guests the total cost was around £150 a head including accommodation, food drink and marquee as well as all support staff and facilities. We chose the right venue, from the outset the owners became friends and helped us make our budget go further that we had anticipated. Our family and friends have all said it was the best wedding they have been to. Our celebration was exactly as we wanted it. Our catering was amazing and the drinks reasonably priced.     Sam and I are slowly coming round from our big day but wow thank you both so much for making it so special. It really was so amazing I can't thank Saltcote Place enough. The food was perfect, the views stunning and we had more than we could have hoped for. Would recommend Saltcote Place to anyone. The additional accommodation within a few minutes walk was also perfect for our guests.Sam and I are slowly coming round from our big day but wow thank you both so much for making it so special.     “Superlatives are woefully inadequate to describe this beautifully unique venue - We booked Saltcote for our wedding as all the other venues paled into significance against this shining example. The building and grounds are beautifully presented and superbly well maintained, not to mention the stunningly well presented rooms and suite.     “Wedding Perfection" - We held our wedding on 25th October. We agreed, as did all our guests, that the whole celebration simply could not have gone any better. Paul and Alan make this location quintessentially English and, for us, unique. We cannot recommend this beautiful location highly enough. We were able to enjoy every single aspect of our day without any concerns. The accommodation, bedrooms and bathrooms are luxurious and spacious and worked perfectly for our party over the wedding weekend. Nothing was too much trouble. My wife and I would happily recommend Saltcote Place to anyone considering a celebration to remember“Wedding Perfection" - We held our wedding on 25th October. Everything went as planned and it really was better than we could have imagined it to be. My family extend a very huge thank you - they felt extremely welcome and were really impressed with Saltcote. They felt we chose the perfect venue and your help during the weekend was immeasurable. Our guests were very impressed, as were our photographers.     We stayed at Saltcote place as part of a wedding party and it was just perfect. The house is exquisitely decorated and the gardens were immaculate. Paul and Alan were fantastic hosts catering to your every need from safety pins for frocks to the best post wedding breakfast in the stunning kitchen!     I'm not really sure how to start with this because there are just so many wonderful things to cram into this review. From the moment Ed and I met Paul and Alan last September when we came to see Saltcote Place for the first time as a potential wedding venue, we fell in love with everything. Of course Saltcote Place is stunning, the views are unrivalled and the rooms are luxuriously decororated with exquisite taste, but what really sealed the deal was Alan and Paul. Their knowledge and humour put us instantly at ease and we knew straight away that our wedding was in excellent hands. Fast forward nine months, several visits and plenty of emails and we arrived at our wedding weekend which exceeded all expectations. All of our guests commented on the beautiful location, the sun came out and we were treated to the best weekend of our lives. Paul and Alan were everywhere, checking in on us, looking after our guests, following up on our late band, ensuring the caterers were on top of everything and making everyone feel like nothing was too much trouble. Turns out Alan is a devil on the dance floor, Paul is just the kindest person I've ever met and them both as a team are a completely unstoppable force. Thank you for all you did, we will be forever indebted, but I do hope you had as much fun as we did! Our quickest Wedding was arranged in 4 hours after a local venue burned down. After the George Hotel Rye was destroyed we hosted the wedding as seen on BBC Planned in less than three months we had 170 guests, Fireworks, live music and everyone described it as "Best Wedding Ever"

Keep it fun, keep it personal and don't try to out-do your friends wedding, make it personal and intimate, get to know the Venue owners - that is unless they happen to be a back to back Wedding venue when that will not be possible.

250 hand written pictures - one for each guest sat in front of them with a hand written message from the couple to each guest explaining why they were invited

Salmon with caviar, prawns in fact if you come for a tasting you will understand why we love everything our chefs produce.

Putting our feet up to the sound of a happy Bride and Groom
