The hall looked beautiful; the setup surpassed my expectations and I was amazed when I first saw it. Even without the link to my husband's family we would have been really pleased with Colston Hall as the venue choice! The rooms and grounds are a perfect setting for a wedding. Ken, the hall director, was very accommodating when first discussing our plans. Michaela, the wedding co-ordinator, was fantastic from the first meeting. She is always willing to answer questions and took time to meet with us and email across necessary documents. She is very helpful and has a good knowledge of both the venue and wedding planning in general. Her recommendations for vendors added to our experience. She worked well with our choice of caterer, thinking of extra details to help the day run smoothly. Michaela was on hand to help with decorating and organising the hall, allowing us plenty of time to prepare the night before. The venue was available for our exclusive use for the day, including a red carpet entrance for guests and use of the Colston Hall, Garden Room, Misbourne Room and Royal British Legion Room. Security was even provided on the doors in the evening. Michaela was well organised and kept on top of timings, reminders and advice throughout the build up to and during the day itself. She helped us to really enjoy our wedding day whilst working with members of staff to help with smooth transitions between the ceremony, wedding breakfast and reception. There were lots of positive comments from our guests and family members who felt well looked after. It is thanks to the hard work and understanding of Colston Hall staff that we were able to plan and carry out our special day in style, keeping everyone entertained and happy! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We have hosted many unusual weddings here since receiving our license in 2013... hard to pick a favourite but the winter wonderland theme was spectacular and the goat curry and beer at the Carribean wedding was truly tasty! We've done many a hog roast, Asian banquet and still offer a traditional wedding breakfast.
